  • one of the best live bands of all time.

and that bass drum sounds sexy.

  • Viv is so freakin' sexy!! HOT!!

  • 1 of the best band of all time...

  • Man, we need more people with these awesome cameras and audio. Def Leppard rules!

  • AWESOMENESS

  • They are doing a few songs with Mutt Lange for their new album :) At least that's what they said around the time Songs from the Sparkle Lounge released.

  • steve clarc R.I.P.

  • I think i discovered this band about 30 yrs to late, they still rock though =)

  • Great broadcast !

  • WOWWWW !!!!!!!! FOR EVER EVER

  • Very well edited You did a fantastic job on the Audio cleaned up nicely

  • BEST BAND EVER!!!!!

they still are great to this day and and i have to say that Rick Allen has always been and always will be my Favourite drummer of all time. KEEP ROCKIN' OUT DEF LEPPARD AND RICK ALLEN.

  • No heart, without Clark.

  • Oh WOW I'm sooooo suprized to hear that worn the fuck out comment. Hate to break it to ya but he died. He wasnt fuckin fired so get over it

  • Hater! Move on with your life buddy!

  • @mummer67 Yes there's still heart. I was gutted when Steve died but life has to move on. I'm grateful to Vivian coming in and respecting the history and the songs, and also contributing some amazing things to the Lep sound. His chemistry with Phil is fantastic. Not better, not worse. Just different.

  • @greyseagirl What they should have done is find a blonde guitarist and kept on playing the old stuff after all thats all they play. They should only play the songs that that Vivian has played on. Bet that tour would be a sell out ! NOT !!!

  • @thunderdeed Yeah okay....sure. Not all of us are in the corner sucking our thumbs over Viv being in the band. My favorite Lep performance of all time was *gasp* with Viv. He helped one of my favorite bands carry on and put out some amazing music. He's a gracious, talented guy that fits into their fold perfectly. Time to give the whining a permanent rest because for many of us, the alternative of Lep no longer making music is unthinkable.

  • @greyseagirl With the exception of Euforia the rest of the albums after Steve are unthinkable.

  • @greyseagirl I would feel the same way if AC/DC would have gone south with Brian Johnson but they didnt because they dont change with the times. And their albums sell.

  • @thunderdeed Selling albums has nothing to do with the quality of the music. Give me a band that evolves over a band like AC/DC that just regurgitates the same song over and over. It all sounds the same after Back In Black and I've never been a big fan of Brian Johnson's style. Go hang out on their vids rather than being a wet blanket on Lep's.

  • @greyseagirl Do you really feel that you can put the albums Slang, and X on the same level as Pyromania and Hysteria ? I can not. And just for the record AC/DC has released some albums that were not great I admit that.

  • @thunderdeed Slang and X both have some of my favorite Lep songs. I still actively listen to Slang. I consider it my 2nd favorite Lep album behind Hysteria. I don't "rank" albums or songs. I either like them or I don't. As many artists have said before, it's like trying to rank your children; each is so special and different that there's no sense in it. I don't care if Slang is different than Pyromania/Hysteria. All I care about is that I enjoy it. Sorry you don't.

  • @greyseagirl Ok. then I understand your a newer fan of them and thats cool. Me I,m old school when it comes to rock.and when they remember Def Leppard it will be the albums that made them that they will remember.

  • @thunderdeed No, I've been a fan since just before High N Dry. I just love music, not genres. I'm not stuck in the past and neither are the Leps. You only do yourself a disservice by being so closed minded, but hey man that's your bag to carry.

  • @greyseagirl Ok. Then why does Def Leppard play all the old songs in concert? Because the fans want the past. I believe they probably would like to stop playing some of the old songs and play new ones but they cant. Because the day they stop doing that there will a major decline in concert attendance for them. I am not the only fan that feels this way. If you have been a fan since High N Dry how could you not want to hear an album that everyone else would love for them to do.

  • @thunderdeed That's with any band or artist no matter how successful they are. Once an artist has a degree of success there will forever be songs that they'll never get away from. John Mayer said once that he was sick to death of "No Such Thing" but he knows his fans want to hear that song so he plays it and some nights it still manages to give him a rush because the fans are getting off on it. Joe has made similar statements before.

  • @greyseagirl Did you ever see Leppard with Steve Clark?

  • @thunderdeed I've seen Def Leppard 28 times spanning from High N Dry to X. Eight of those were following them around during Hysteria. I met Steve, Sav, and Phil in St. Louis. Steve's signature on my Hysteria Animal Instinct book is still a beloved piece of history for me. I have his pick put away in a little case with the other guys'. The only reason I haven't been to more shows recently is because money is too tight right now but rest assured, I'm jumping on the next chance I get.

  • @greyseagirl Thats impressive! A true fan no doubt!

  • @greyseagirl You never did answer the question. Wouldnt you want to hear an album that has the old sound? Please dont quote John Mayer or Joe I would like to hear your answer to the question.

  • @thunderdeed I didn't catch the question the first read. It doesn't matter to me if they come out with an album that has the "old sound". Having the old sound doesn't automatically guarantee I'll like it. I gravitate to songs based upon whether or not they move me. If they come out with something new that just doesn't grab me, it won't matter what style they've gone for. Part of the fun of any new album for me is wondering what it'll sound like.

  • @greyseagirl True I guess part of waiting for a new album is wondering what it will sound like. Dont get me wrong when I heard Sparkle lounge was coming out I was pumped up for it. It has the Leppard sound more or less. I guess I,ll wait for the next one. Buy the way I,ve heard rumors Vivian is thinking of leaving . Do you have any info on that?

  • @thunderdeed Not that I'm aware of. He seemed pretty happy in an interview he gave a couple of months ago. He does side projects as do the others so it's not like he'd feel the need to leave to pursue other avenues. They do tour pretty tirelessly. That's the only thing that I can think of that he might be tired of but I'm not him so I don't know. Rumors are just that until someone confirms them so take it with a grain of salt.

  • @greyseagirl Thanks for the info.

  • @greyseagirl I just picked up Mirrorball this week. I was wanting to get your take on it. As there are no almost no new new songs on it .

  • @greyseagirl What is your take on Mirrorball?

  • @thunderdeed1 I don't have Mirrorball yet unfortunately. Money's tight these days so I'm not able to buy albums like I used to. When I get to hear it, I'll let you know. :)

  • @mummer67 No heart no soil!

  • Fantastic. Your camera either has a hell of a good microphone or you cleaned up the audio nicely. Or both. Thanks for posting.

  • I think he synced it up with the HQ audio bootleg of this concert.

  • Rick Allen is the best drummer alive

  • i was close to where you were siting

  • i agree. the best verson is the 88 one. i was at that concert. it was at the round in denver.the video pour some sugar on me was fimed at the same concert..i just saw them in concert again in 08. thay were very good ..but not as good as 88.later that year i saw pink floyd at red rocks ...man i mis those days....

  • Awesome! I was at this show and am so glad someone posted this clip.

  • Best live version "I've seen" other than the 88 one.You can tell there well rested here. Joe"s pitch was on. background vocals were on. Phils guitar sustain is great with that pick up in it.......awsome version, However...... it doesnt stand the hair up on your arms like the 88 version with clark. but still awsome!

  • This is why we love HD. I saw them in Auckland New Zealand, last night of there world tour loved it! Great vid, Thanks!

  • Great sound on this....i filmed some in Belfast and UK but sound sucks.....thanks for this!
