  • You are a great organist! I stole about half of the chords from you just now! LOL

  • I went and still attend an old time Baptist Church and you know, that song is in our Hymnal also. And the truth it tells crosses all Christian denominations.

  • Your playing is bad, as in Michael Jackson bad.

    Awesome!

  • :D This is just awesome!!! <3 <3 <3

  • If the CD is available I am on board! Make it a DVD with a few dozen tracks and I would REALLY love a copy. Your handling of the piano and the Hammond organ are a real blessing to me.

  • I love the old time Church of God hymnals. Our church went to the "mega church" stlye music trying to attract young people but instead more than half the church left. Those 50 and over put money into the offerings, young ones not so much. Now our church does not have enough money to pay the bills. Bill Gaither said I love the old music not because it is old but because it is great.

  • Madame, I listen to your organ playing soooo much that you are tops on my "Favorites" list. If this was a CD it would burn up I play it so much. Anyway thanks for such BEAUTIFUL music playing, and that Hammond organ.

  • While I am not a religious person (far, far from it), I'd PAY to go to church in this case.

    Well done.

  • @MVanthoor Well put! I would even praise Jesus, despite, if anything at all, considering myself agnostic... It's music like this that proves that sometimes, for some people, religion actually CAN bring out the best in them... Thanks for the music!!!!

  • Ms. Jen u got that organ talkin. Im over dancing.

  • My lord!!!! now thats how I like to here "By an By" Played and not dragged!!!! Be Blessed!

  • very very nice and so clean....

  • Fabulous! You are great! Thanks for sharing these.

  • Love to hear you play; I have an A100 and Leslie and play a Roland in church

  • This fine lady does a wonderful job on the Hammond organ praising the Lord. Some people abuse the Hammond. She uses it for God's glory.

  • Wow!

  • its great! just not quite "nasty" (for lack of a better word) enough for my taste. dont be afraid of that diminished flavor!

  • I have to add, that at 1.48 the real magic begins, You really are a very big talent, And I have to Fav this , just because I have too ;-))

    Mange the Impressed Swede

  • I Absolutely LOVE this , Ohh I get the chills here, What a talent You are...

    Very impressive My friend !!!

Excellent is the word to be used here !!!!

Mange Of Sweden and God Bless You Always........

  • I would like to get that hymnal you show at the beginning. Our hymnals aren't quite written with your arrangement. LOL GREAT JOB God has greatly blessed you. Thanks for sharing.

  • You Yankees need to go down South and find a Church of God! Its not a Pentecostal Church of God unless there's a Hammond on the platform. True, lately some of the younger pastors have gone to choruses and contemporary music, but you will find the ANOINTING isn't the same. We would sing hymns like this, or "He Set Me Free" or "Have A Little Talk With Jesus", or "Just A Little While" for 30 min. or more when the Holy Ghost was moving. REAL church!
  • who ever that is has some soul in there playing.I like hearing a real good hammon organ player.

  • Swingin'... I'd -almost- get into church to hear this sound over and over again.

  • Wonderful!!!

  • If she is a church organ player i would go to church every sunday just to hear this great playing of such an old instrument!!

  • I just had a thought, What happens if you don't use the foot pedals on the organ?

  • You have those old sweet chords from back in the day. Don't change a thing! We need that to remind us of how simple church used to sound. Beautiful sound! Praise God!

  • play son!!!

  • That's a Female on the organ.

  • Great playing man...are you sure that you're white...LOL?!?!?! (Hope you don't take that comment the wrong way) but you are playing with some soul...loved it!!!!!!!

  • Talk about handicaps! I'm white (or so they tell me...) and Jewish, but playing a decent gospel style organ is the aim of my life at present. And I think I can do it, as I said, at least decently, and with the proper respect for one of America's greatest musical achievements .

  • @Mooser42001 Thanks for that post! You're speaking out of my heart! Although born as a Christian (and called Christian, my first name:)), and although having been an Altarboy and all, for a very long time I cannot consider myself a Christian anymore. But hearing such music, those definitions are of no meaning anymore, since ALL I HEAR IS LOVE!!

And you're right, America has blessed us with wonderful music. I'm saying that despite being born and raised in the heart of Europe, Switzerland.

  • Ah yes and please, if you read my answers to you, please contact me since i'm in a similar situation. Among other instruments i'm a passionate Hammond B3 player and at least at the time gospel music is my very inspiration, if not even the only one..... I've got an email adress as well funkoforte@yahoo.com

  • Hello, you play enjoyable, amazing.

You just play normal, good drawbars-registration. No unnecescary effects.

Go on with your wonderfull style, that means how you play - natural !!!

Some weeks ago I already told Mr. Bufford that I beleave, the best teachers for playing Hammond-Organ live in the USA.

  • Let us all rise and

please turn to page 351 in your hymnal

"we'll understand it by and by"....lol

  • it's number 311 in my book, key of A for trumpet

  • That's it!!!!! That was good ole church.. or better yet....."All rise and recieve the family"

  • wooooo! Every time I hear this I just get chills going all over me!!

  • im almost 19 now and i play by ear just wanted to say i love you r version of the song it was my favorite hymn growing up!

  • You really should make a CD and sell it i totally would purchase it. Hint Hint :)

  • The Pentecostal UPCI churches in Louisianna still have the choirs open op the song service with these songs! Vintage yet hit the heart! God Bless!

  • I have grew up in small pentecostal churches and at the begenning of every service we have 3 or 4 songs like this out of the hymnal

  • @darlenei2 Yeah, I agree.

  • @darlenei2 me too.Man she can play that organ

  • AMEN troy i totally agree

  • I recognize that hymnal. It's the old Church of God hymnal that we old time Holiness Pentecostals still sing out of. I play the Hammond as well and love everyone of these old hymns of the church. I had to leave the Chruch of God to find a church that still used their old hymnal because they sure don't anymore. This kind of music make you shout GLORY TO GOD!

  • @troy1387 Are you talking about the Church of God (Cleveland, tenn)

  • @BishopGilyard Yes sir!

  • This is wonderful! You better play that organ! My God!

  • Sweet!!!! Need more of that on Sunday.

  • Whoever this lady is can really play that organ. This song takes me back to my dear mother's beloved funeral where they played and actually sung it. I am out of my chair dancing, crying, singing, clapping, crying all at the same time. My Lord

  • I am dancing in my chair!

  • That takes me back...You can't beat that no where .Thanks for posting real church

  • this is old time religion!

    Grat stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome Job Jen, Please don't stop !!!!

  • just what all the singing on the walls chures needs once again ...some old fashion music and hymn book singing....this watered down so called stuff is killing a lot of souls .
