Ronald Reagan agreed to tax the rich only if Congress cut spending by $3. for every $1. in tax increases. Congress never came through with their part of the agreement. This is what happens when the Republicans try to work with the Democrats (Bipartisanship) When Ronald Reagan tries to defend his bipartisan tax increases, against his campaign promises, what he says gets used against him. The Democrats bite the hands that feeds them. That's what you can expect from an entitlement mentality.
