  • I really liked it. The set up sounds terrific.

  • Very, very cool! Thank you for sharing, Peter!!!

  • I like how mellow and bassy your tone is... many Brian May fans don't really show that side of Trisonic Pickups.

  • Dude did u sing this? o.O It's amazing..!

  • @BorgAngel Nono. Thanks, It is from a backingtrack a few years ago from the Guitarist Mag. But all guitars are me.

  • Even if you recorded it very simply just with an sm57 and a pathfinder, it sounds pretty well to me! I tried to record some stuff with my red special and treble booster, pathfinder, sm57 mic. But I failed to find the decent riff tone like yours. I'll very appreciate if you tell me what was the e,q setting of your pathfinder and the position of mic when playing the riff

  • @hihhih01 I don´t remember exactly how I set the amp but I´m pretty sure I used it the way I normally do: bass around 9 o´clock and trebla almost all way down. Then to place the mic is the trick. You should avoid the centre of cone and go towards the edge. Try also angle the mic and place it a fe inches away and you´ll be there soon.

  • @petermichalowski Thanks for quick answer!

  • Geez dude, nailed it. Freaking awesome awesome playing.

  • awesome!!

  • Sorry man, not hearing you in there. Matched your track with one I have in Logic, dime for dime it's Brian I'm hearing. Maybe you should post a video. The Pathfinder 15R is a little gem, though. With a 12" Celestion Blue Alnico in an outboard 3/4 closed cab, its a little screamer.

  • @GoldtopSam Would love to get these settings you have in Logic as I´m using it too.

  • beautiful work

  • Pathfinder? Made by Thomas Organ?

  • @Barnekkid No no no. The 15w tranny model still beeing made I think

  • O.k., I didn't know they made an amp like this. I have an early 60s AC30 and to me the only Vox is JMI. Used to have a Pathfinder back in the 80s, and that was Thomas Organ. Sounded fairly good but the build and circuit was crap.

  • Awesome job! The Vox Pathfinder 15R is a really great amp, especially considering how much they cost.

  • Thanks, Just put a treble booster infront of these amps and you can basically do what you want.

  • Excellent tone & playing Peter! Hope you were the one to drink the Vodka at least! 5 star jobbie! Happy New Year mate - all the best, Rich

  • Thanks Rich, You´re too kind and The best. Unfortunatly I think it was my 16 year old doughter who drank this up:-))

  • Nice work as usual Peter. Happy new year!

  • One of my fav Queen songs.

    5 *

    Robin :o)

  • that sounded GREAT!!! are 2 guitars playing the main riff?

  • Thanks, Yes one left and one right from the strat to the end. Gives a kind of phasing effect. I must try this little amp over Celestion Blue one day

  • thanks! and again, it sounds GREAT! This is probably one of the best covers i've ever heard using such a cheap amp! I think it will sound even better with a Blue speaker! Thanks 5 stars!

  • Sweet

  • great!
