My late mother used to think Linda's messages were saccarine and phony, but then we'd watch together and whenever Linda was on to pull the numbers, I'd yell out "YEAAAA!!!!!". It got to be that whenever my family was around for the WGN 9 o'clock news, we'd all yell "YEAAAA!!!" if Linda was on.

Sometimes I want to laugh at some of the lines she says, usually during the pick 4 drawing, anyway, she'll say whatever inspirational thing that is on her mind at that time, like, "Here's hoping your number comes up tonight" and I'm like, "Did she just hope all those watching to die?". But then she's so fun to look at, I realize it doesn't matter what she just said, I just got to look at Linda Kollmeyer.
