Thanks. Yes, I have all the EQ up full. Normally, you wouldn't be able to get away with this, if you were running two 12AX7s in the preamp; it would be too thumpy. However, I'm using a 12AX7 in V1 and an NOS 5751 in V2; that tames the gain a lot (about 30%) and really tightens up the amp.
