Thanks for posting this. I am also a small guy with pectus excavatum and have seen some improvement after finishing the insanity workout. I am starting p90x next week and hope to achieve results like yours. I grew up ashamed to take my shirt off in public, but I'm getting past that and inspired by you really putting it out there on the internet. Cheers
My friend has pectus excavatum and he got surgery done for it a couple years back. I have noticed that my chest caves in quite a lot as well and after my friend saw it he said I may have a minor case of it. However, I'm interested in the non surgical treatments that are out there for it.
Great video, really gives me hope for my P.E. and I had some questions that I hoped you could help with. first off do you know how deep your depression is? From your pictures it looked fairly moderate, but I'm not sure if its because you worked out or if it was that your P.E. wasn't as severe? And were you a skinny guy before or would you say medium build? I'm pretty scrawny and I'm worried working out might not even help :/ im around 5'5 130lb. Any help or tips would be amazing, thank you1
Yo I'm only 5 foot 6 or 7 and I have pectus excavatum aswell im thinking about surgery because I wanna be able to run better for my soccer team what should I do about the running?
@callofbooty6543 well for me when i got checked out they determined that my lungs weren't greatly affected by the chest, id say if you go the surgery it would help you breath better but you gotta realize its going to take some time to get back to a normal physical performance because it will take time to recover, but in time id say yeah you will see an improvement
@iTzJuniorOT haha my diet was eat as much as i could afford to buy, i have a really high metabolism its really hard for me to gain weight after p90x i probably put on about 5 pounds
@MrShadowslasher i would say you are not at all too late for a procedure if that's what your asking about. i had a friend get a bar in his chest and he was 18, and i have heard stories of people i their 30's having the procedure, personally i have considered a surgery but its expensive and Im not to crazy about the idea of someone cutting me open. Im currently using a non surgical treatment called a vacuum bell, its pretty much a big suction cup i put on my chest its given temporary results
@DontMessDJD hey no problem man! personally i fell a huge improvement with my abs they are a lot more defined and my core is much much stronger, i try and do the ab ripper video 3 times a week, that's awesome your doing the same thing i am, i know what you mean by stomach sticking out more, make sure your really doing the heels to the heavens and hip rock n raise exercises slow and with good form because they really work the upper abs which will help the appearance.
