The Ghost Tape was unreleased due to copyright issues. Polydor never considered it lucrative enough to clear it. I do find Big Beat Presents to be superior, but this release is pretty incredible....

Yeah this is a wonderful song, so well written. Last time I was talking to Dave I was

asking about wether the album would ever be released. He said he was about to Re-record it in America, and release it in some way or other. I prefer it to the other album. Pure class.

Dave said this already a few years ago (re-recording the "Polydor" album), but I doubt it will happen. At the moment The Damned are recording a new album and it should be a very good one! Stay tuned...

I've listened to the unreleased Polydor a lot, and I hadn't noticed how good this song is until I watched your video. I love the Phantom Chords. It's about time for another album, don't ya think? :)
