That's a shame if 40K is going to abandon it's PC roots. I just do want to get a limited console. A lot of money and not very versatile hardware. At least the Sony Playstation can double as a DVD player, but what happens in 3 years? Do I have to dump my investment to upgrade? Consoles just don't have a very long half life.

Ok , second example. Space Marine should also NOT have looting because of their revering of weaponry that they use. A Chaos Space Marine, however does not even think about the condition of his weaponry. Some Chaos weapons are actually possessed by demons(Daemons for 40k), like the Daemonsword. Why would the Space Marines take the weapons of an enemy if the weapon can kill the wielder??

Why give Marines the looting thing?? Space Marines revere their weapons as if they would have souls of their own. Simply put, if you take care of your armor, it might reward you by saving your life. Besides, what space marine would loot Ork weaponry from the battlefield??? Since most orks dont have weapons that actually operate if used by a non-Ork, it doesnt make sense. And have to make second post for another example.
This Looks like it really captures the Awesomeness of a space marine, Unlike in the games where a basic ork melee combat squad can utterly destroy a space marine squad. In the real Warhammer 40k universe, one space marine could easily take out a squad of orks

Only a necron warrior is supposed to "really" stand toe-to-toe with a marine. Eldar are supposed to have something like a three to one ratio. Everyone else requires entire platoons to achieve what a marine is capable of, if not more.

NO SHIT. It's a 3rd person RPG not an RTS so why the fuck would it be for the PC, everyone knows that RPG's are always better on consoles. If anyone needs an example then it would be crysis. No one played crysis because it required a high end computer that no one had. Hence the producers are making crysis 2 for consoles so they can get more sales. So in the end PC is only good for RTS's.
@acore4 I wouldn't say that I think The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind was good. BUT I am glad its on console cause I've played DoW and loved it and the news of an SM game for the PS3 is brilliant. Iam really looking foreward to this game. I have been waiting for something like this since Firewarrior was released. Firewarrior was fairly good, but only a few people played it online on the PC. (though the cutscenes and the story was good).
Iam pretty sure it will be released on the PC aswell, just because there are many Warhammer 40k fans to be found, since Dawn of War was really great and has a lot of fans. But until then I will buy it for PS3 and wait for the PC version and the mods.

Well the good news is that there currently is a Call for PC Release of 'Space Marine' petition that fans can sign. The more people that sign then there MAY be hope for PC players.
To bad its not for PC, guess I'll just have to drag out the PS3. I like 40k and all but I don't know about this one, the combat looks clunky and there is a ton of lore I am concerned about.

@spacemarine131 i am a proud owner of an xbox 360, as well as a brand spanking new alienware desktop, and i must say, the xbox 360 has some pretty good graphics. the thing is, however, you cannot change the graphics settings on the xbox console, and for most games they are generally not set at their highest settings. in my experience, the PC has way better graphics, depending on how good your PC is.
@Manofaction88 I wouldn't recommend Alienware to anyone, as a person who builds computers and sells them you really dont get your monies worth. A custom build PC is much better, i have one cost a little under $600 but its a lot better then you can get Pre-made or outta best buy or someplace.
Acctually the graphics are fairly dependant on the type of tv you have and reach a cap, computer graphics can keep getting better with updated cards and is pretty much limited only by the monitor not the machine.
As far as games go, i think youl find that the computer has access to thousands more games then the xbox, just because you dont like to play them doesnt mean they dont exist.
If only the actual game was as good as this sounded :/ I still loved the game though.

You dont seem to understand me. Im using at least 8 fingers when im playing an FPS game, not 2-4 fingers like you with a console controller. And sorry if i call it Crapbox360. I bought Oblivion for it, and it wasnt running well, so i sold the Crapbox and upgraded my PC, and im happy playing Oblivion now. Dont say that PCs are for RTS' only because thats is BS.

Iam really looking foreward to this game. I have been waiting for something like this since Firewarrior was released. Firewarrior was fairly good, but only a few people played it online on the PC. (though the cutscenes and the story was good).
Iam pretty sure it will be released on the PC aswell, just because there are many Warhammer 40k fans to be found, since Dawn of War was really great and has a lot of fans. But until then I will buy it for PS3 and wait for the PC version and the mods.

@brokenhalo2001 While it depends heavily on the PC, PS3 and Xbox ARE proven to surpass computers in terms of processing and rendering, especially when you factor in price. I am no fanboy for consoles, I am simply a student in game design so I have seen the comparisons.
Currently the world's most powerful super computer is the roadrunner, built with the cell processors of a PS3

@brokenhalo2001 The united states airforce has also ordered 2200 PS3 units. They will take apart the PS3s and use the Cell processors to form a cluster of them. They will then use them to render out high resolution satelite and radar imaging, video footages, and even neuromorphic computing research which can be very scary.

The US Air Force had ordered 2200 PS3 consoles solely for their cell processors to be utilized in a grid. Don't diss the extremely cheap but extraordinarily powerful tech a PS3 has.

@spacemarine131 i am a proud owner of an xbox 360, as well as a brand spanking new alienware desktop, and i must say, the xbox 360 has some pretty good graphics. the thing is, however, you cannot change the graphics settings on the xbox console, and for most games they are generally not set at their highest settings. in my experience, the PC has way better graphics, depending on how good your PC is.

@Manofaction88 I wouldn't recommend Alienware to anyone, as a person who builds computers and sells them you really dont get your monies worth. A custom build PC is much better, i have one cost a little under $600 but its a lot better then you can get Pre-made or outta best buy or someplace.

Acctually the graphics are fairly dependant on the type of tv you have and reach a cap, computer graphics can keep getting better with updated cards and is pretty much limited only by the monitor not the machine.
As far as games go, i think youl find that the computer has access to thousands more games then the xbox, just because you dont like to play them doesnt mean they dont exist.
