  • Yes genius, we miss you.

  • Only one word: Tragic.

  • he sings like waters.

  • @DonConstantinos no, waters sings like him

  • @fretboard89 ok they've grown up listening each others voice.

but still i could swear IT;S ROGER SINGING!:P

  • NOISE!

  • love u syd

  • shine on, you crazy diamond, but you weren't crazy, they were all wrong, you were RIGHT

  • I wish he released like... 9958345345823 albums more.

  • Syd understands emotion and reality more than most people will ever conceive. He wasn't't the crazy one

  • Hey asshole, I love Syd so fuck you for having a mit romney ad up. you will never understand the underdog

  • painful music

  • some say syd was insane, a mad cap, I say he was one of the few who had a grasp of the joys of life. This music is mental, intuitive, and so real to me. perfectly imperfect like life is.

  • happy birthday never understood u

  • Love youh syd..!

  • Happy birthday, Syd! And rest in peace.

  • Happy birthday, Syd! And we surely do miss you, a lot! ♥

  • Syd's birthday is tomorrow. happy early birthday!! glad I share that date as my birthday as well.

  • Barrett was a genius writer! Miss you, Syd; wish you were here.

  • Shakespeareian

  • he kind of sounds just like roger during the chorus... that;s weeird

  • @Thriftshoplifters

It's pretty obvious in a lot of songs that Syd influenced Roger's phrasing and general vocal technique.

  • This song is a cry for help from someone that knows they're losing their mind. Syd knew that music was his passion, but for some reason, every time he'd get into recording, he'd lose it. More & more. Thus, this was the song where he realized that it was music making him crazy, but music is what he wanted to do. That is why this song brings me to tears every time. It's reminiscent of someone gasping for air, after they filled the room with the poison they love so dearly. I know the feeling

  • @hotchkissrecords

That's one interpretation. And, I like it.

  • crudisima version del mas grande genio del rock.. por siempre syd

  • I just noticed that Roger's singing is very similar to how Syd is singing in this! It's almost like Roger sings that way because he was influenced by Syd's genius, and does it as a tribute to him...

  • i always wondered why if DG used some of the outtakes and "distressing" versions of his songs on the album. I love em all but the old PF guys really didnt do anything to dismiss all the wrong stories about Syd going around.

  • Beatiful

  • @jee51 Hahaha. Never fear, my friend. Music is beautiful!

  • This kinda freaks me out

  • @jee51 freaks me out too. syd reminds me of me. that freaks me out.

  • @magua4 omg 'same...

  • Okay I respect everyone's opinion, but how can you dislike this masterpiece?

  • EXCELLENT!

  • BEST SYD SONG.SO MUCH FEELING AND PASSION.THANKS FOR THE POST.PATRICK IN PA

  • @kartofflenbrain i have

  • why is there a video of a guy popping a zit in the suggestions? -_-

  • what a genius, seriosly

  • :'(

  • we miss you Syd

  • it never gets old and tired! Syd forever.

  • Revenge102992, Syd "tattooed his brain all the way". This song is so good and sad. This mix of like Syd's failing lucidity and his recognition of it and the schizophrenia starting to win. What a shame. And tpipen22, you make a good point, God was very good to Syd- taking his life away from him in his prime. Maybe faith in Jesus would have kept him from fading away into psychosis. Maybe you should try that shit out with more naive people; Justin Bieber fans or something.

  • "I tattered my brain all the way" =[

  • Jesus is the only hope of salvation from the guilt of sin. He is God come in the flesh. And he came to wash away our sins with his blood that he shed on the cross. Salvation is a free gift, but you must repent and ask Jesus to save you from your sins and come into your heart. God is good. It is written, "The just shall live by his faith."

  • @tpipen22

Stop it. We don't want to hear it here. This song is sung from a man calling for love, and his life back. Your God didn't help him, and he won't help any of us.

  • @tpipen22 Yeah shut up mate, no one wants to hear it.

People can believe in whatever they want, but when they shove it down peoples throats or post ridiculous comments on completely unrelated videos, it gets fucking annoying.

  • One of my favourite songs of all time, just so much emotion in syd's voice. It's beautiful.

  • who the hell clicked "dislike"?? asshole!

  • yes Syd, we would miss you. we DO miss you. we STILL miss you.

  • you can kinda hear a hint of syd in some pink floyd albums without syd being in the band

  • @jacoblight7 Here's a theory. I'm not implying that I believe in it either. Once Syd realized the amount of fame and attention him and his music were about to receive, he decided he didn't want to be apart of it. He seemed like the type that created and wrote mainly as a personal release, and not for attention or positive praise. Once the band blew up, he left, on purpose, but remained in touch, and helped with their writing of music sporadically for the rest of their career. I would do the same

  • @christopher19894

That would be nice, but it was due to his mind deteriorating from drug use that he had to stop. He was damn pissed when he was kicked out (nobody told him, they just picked up David instead and left Syd at his house). With that being said, David and him got along fairly well until the 80s came about and Syd declined more rapidly.

  • roger sounds like syd in" dont leave me now"

  • @jacoblight7 I think that was the intention :0 Syd is Roger, remember :)

  • @diresword56762 The song is apparently about his feeling with the loss of his band, friends and himself. Very sad but brilliant song. Great to play on guitar

  • @bullfury19 I don't think it's about that at all. I suppose it is in a way. But I believe the song is mainly about his schizophrenia. "I tattooed my brain all the way. Won't you miss me? Wouldn't you miss me at all?"

  • its a shame most people dont know who syd is. everyone only knows the version of floyd who became rock gods. i love that version, no doubt, but syd is such a genius, its a shame hes not very well recognized.

  • @PAULisDEADMANnumber9 I think Syd is so tied up in Floyd history that it's hard to be a fan without knowing who he is and some background on him.

  • I almost cry everytime I hear this. Honestly I don't understand half of it, you can just feel his emotion.

  • Syd's signature song, I think.

  • @kartofflenbrain I think I have listened to it 100 times easily. It's such a great song.

  • Won't u miss me...Nuff said

  • We're missing you, Syd.

  • @jfcfranco aint it the truth....... so sad.

  • It's laughs not laught. Just thought I'd point that out. Delete this if you'd like.

  • @bernardbuchanan its one typo man. I hate you people who fucking quarrel over such insignificant details

  • I love this song ........ i love syd he was an absolute musical genius

    R.I.P
