Damn! I was just gonna make a comment on how to convert my small guitar to a three string.
I put steel strings on it but the strings are a little too close together for comfort. I heard about cigar box guitars so I thought someone might give me an answer.
Ha, ha, ha! No, this is WONDERFUL! Really. I see beat up ol' thrift store guitars with missing tuners on sale for less than a day's bus ticket and I've always passed them by. But I might take some old warhorse home as long as I can play 3-4 strings on it.
But you have to build your own CBG someday, you know. I've built a couple, and you can't REALLY understand an instrument until you try to build one. If you have the right tools, you can build one in a weekend.
