@AgaiLazen the waist armor is called a gundam skirt and the horns are called tiara or how ever that damn head band is spelt. so kinda,,,,,,yeah they are. but gundam was based off the samurai so in a way they arent cross dressing

@KBFclan I guess I could have seen your point until I saw some concept art of our favorite RX 78-2, and believe me, it was NOTHING like a samurai. The only samurai parts on the Gundam are on the head, they originally wanted to make it look like every other 70's robot at the time.

@AgaiLazen oki really...your talking about one gundam..the story of gundam was in part based off the samurai. that doesnt mean appearance wise. you havent seen some old samurai armor have you? Grunts armor for the samurai, the older suit? yeah some of them were pretty basic. Gundam was made to stand out but was inspired by the samurai image, later they fulfilled that image with several samurai armor outfitted gundam models.

Yea the 0 Gundam was ment to look like hte RX78 right from the start...

The creaters pretty much figured a 10 year gap between setsuna seeing the 0 GUndam and gettng Exia so i thought that was a nice touch

Also the voice actor for Ribbons is also the voice actor for Amuro Ray. I suppose the creators for Gundam 00 (the series) wanted the Old VS the New, RX-78 VS Exia.

also the english voice actor of setsuna is the same voice actor who portrayed Amuro Ray in the english dub, i find it weird how in japan the voice of amuro ends being ribbons and the english voice ends being the main protagonist. strange

i have to say this version of the rx-78-2 alone is alot better looking than the new 2.0 version aside from teh hidden panels and such...i just still like the 2.0 version cuz of articulation and stuff

Good reiview. It certainly is an interesting retro-looking model. I don't know that this Perfect Gundam is truly a perfect model, though. Not as perfect as a Perfect Grade Gundam would be, anyway...

MG depending on age can take from 5hours up to 8hours in my experience, yet to try a perfect grade but i assume they are alot longer,

maybe try some NG 1/100s sometime, just to see how they are, normally take a few hours to build and are very good quality, but then again so are some of the newer 1/144s xD

Yeah, I started building 1/100 when I was young. I painted, detailed, then sell them haha! Takes me days to finish them...

Then I realized that 1/144's r much better since u can collect most/all of the mecha u see on the series. And a very short building time since I'm already busy ^_^

well i just finished my first MG today!! i did the MG strike gundam and it only took me about 5 hrs to do. maybe 6 hrs counting the time it took me to put all the stickers and decals on it since i suck at puttin on decals. you should try it, they're not as hard as they seem.
