@Daishi216 The point I was making was it's more combat based. Using your pist or rifle used to be a last resort. They removed the data collection for keypads, computer usage almost entirely, the thermals to detect keycodes, hacking with the goggles, rappelling, and all the cool stuff, and there are many scenes where you just blast your way through everyone on the new one. There are many changes I didn't like, and the remake of the previous games should fix all that!

@DJKovert No, your complaint was clearly about the Mark and Execute, and my reply was to that. Conviction is different from the previous games, its more action oriented, focusing on dynamic movement and actions. And i enjoy the way it was created. Instead of complaining how unstealthy Conviction is, i start up Chaos Theory wich is the best SC game imo.

I ended up getting about $20 in store credit a few weeks ago. I got the Xbox version of Double Agent and Final Fantasy XII.

I completed Double Agent a few days ago. I thought I was going to hate that game based on the opening levels, a cramped ice cavern / foundry and an even more cramped prison. The game opened up after that point, as the level design became more nonlinear, so in the end I'm glad I stuck it out.

I still miss Chaos Theory's basically perfect, STEALTH-FRIENDLY level design.

@BlazeTheChronic You're absolutely right. It's from episode 3 from season 8. This is coincidentally my favorite episode of Top Gear. The clip is only about 20 seconds long, but El Cargo starts at ~17:50 when Clarkson presents the Mustang before a race with the mighty Lotus Exige.

I love how much of Amon's music has an atonal element to it. There is the main song, then there is an abstract and fairly quiet, yet still noticeable background noise which totally changes the experience of the song

I discovered AT from Stoney Street - more than 10 years ago. Even thought most of his songs are simple repetition like house music - he has that orchestral jazzy mood touch to it - and he sneaks in those percussion improvisations - sounds so simple but i have no clue how he comes up with it :P

I always loved Chaos Theory more than any other game in the series. I love the Splinter Cell franchise, but SCCT just had a different feel...and a kick-ass soundtrack!

This was also one of my favorite action games of all time. It's exceedingly rare that I find levels that are this non-linear while still being quite enjoyable. The number of ways to get through a level seems like a true maturation of what Ion Storm tried to do with Deus Ex (a game that was lauded for giving the player plenty of gameplay options).
