I'd like to know why satellite and cable providers won't carry foreign networks. Why does BBC America even exist? Anyone ever wonder that?  Why not just put BBC on our channels?

We, the people, are sick of the garbage on TV which is primarily due to the lack of competition. Violence, Trash, lies on government & gossip rather than news. Lately, I have been timing how long the commercials are on--Out of every 30 minute TV show, there is 10 minutes of commercials (with as many as 20 different ones)--that's way too much money in return to the privilege to watch junk on our own TV for which we already pay too much in monthly fees.

The real question is how to end 80 years of corporate ownership. and the remedies are to end their artificial privileges. a)abolish ownership rights of spectrum and b)end copyright protection of all factual/documentary material.
