  • What drums do I need for rockband 3 pro mode? will any electric drums work aslong as I have the Mad Catz MiDI adapter?

  • @J0eHav0k Yeah, as long as they have a MIDI output on them, any will work with the Mad Catz adapter

  • what MIDI adapter do you use?

  • @mikhail2741 At this time I had to create my own, but now I use the MIDI Pro adaptor by Mad Catz.

  • @gspence74is it work well on the RB2 drums? and how u set the green crash to ur left cymball?

  • sweet kit

  • It doesn't matter if he uses the cymbals or not, it's a game. Also as far as I know those cymbals are the same ones as I own, and they have a bad tendency to double-hit and stuff.

  • stfu a bout the cymbls be lucky yall still have both drum stixs i lolst them so i ahve a big drum stick and a small 1 lol it is fukin hard to p;ay u r perty good what a bout on guttair or bass ?

  • i think its fake cuz if you look at 1:36 hes not playing when the game is playing hes not moving at all and the game is so i think its fake.

  • thats called hitting the bass pedal -_-

  • he using the foot dumbass

  • If it's fake then why did he miss notes retard

and he was hitting the bass pedal at 1:36

  • @foamy111111 he is hitting the pedal...

  • how can u do that? me and my brothers are itching 2 know pls. we have a simmons sd7k

already, is it ez as a usb or what? can u just like send a instructional video to us?just how can u do that simmons sd7k to rock band 2 to a console?(ps3,xbox360,wii) just let us know.

    pls

  • the easy but more expensive option, is to just buy the drumset for guitar hero world tour....it has a midi in port on the back, and you just use midi out from the electronic drumset and connect to midi in on the guitar hero drums. and mess with the midi channels untill you get it working on all pads...the other option involves a lot more magyver esk sort of work, which takes 2 long to explain. and pretty much will end up costing about the same amount

  • i fucking hate when ppl think there so good cuz they can fucking play on the pads im a real drummer and i fucking hate seeing ppl with these drum sets not fucking using the cymbals

  • Go to my channel, I use the hi-hat and cymbals. I play with a Roland TD-4k.

  • You know what pisses me off?

You got the expencive drumset that you found out how to work on Rock Band/Guitar Hero and you dont use the cymbols...at all

    You used the crash sometimes

You should try to hook the drumset into rock band/guitar hero and run it through an amplifier...

    just an idea

  • Heya. Keep in mind this video is a year and a half old. I know have my drum set hooked up to the MIDI port on the GH World Tour drums so I can assign 5 pads. Now I use the cymbals for everything. I'll try to post a new video.

  • Go to my channel. I play on a Roland TD-4K drum set, I use cymbals and hi-hat.

  • Hi, i have these same drums, do you mind telling me how you get them to work with this game? please

  • Hi, um, you dont know me, but i have these same drums, do you mind telling me how you get them to work with this game?

  • midi cable from drumset to guitar hero brain.

  • You need:

    A Electronic Drum Set.

Guitar Hero World Tour Stock kit

    A Midi Cable.

Now, put the midi cable in GHWT stock kit, and the other side of the midi cable, into the electronic drum set. Go to your drum module, and change the MIDI to specifc numbers. I don't remember them, but search on youtube: aBetterOpinion How to play GH:WT with a midi drumset.

There you go, hope it helped.

  • so how do u connect a digital drum kit to a x box to pllay on rb2 is it as simple as a usb :?

  • you have to for guitar hero i know and i think this is the same for rockband, but you have to have a midi cable there about 10 bucks at best buy, and ummm connect your drum set to the brain of the guitar hero one, and i think if you just pop in the rockband disk then you can play witht he guitar hero brain you should youtube it or google it there are alot of good post~

  • i just got an sd7k, could u tell me how 2 make it compatible for rock band?

  • work on the fills lol

    good job ;)

  • that is so sik

    how did you do that?

ive got an sd7k also but i only jus played rockband last week and i wanted to know if i could use my sd7k for the game. can you show me what you needed to buy etc.

    thanks

  • do you use a midi to usb converter to get it too work??

    please tell me

  • whats the point of the cymbals if you dont even use them?

  • I do use them when I'm not trying to go for my highest score. During really fast sequences its still easy to get confused since the cymbals are on opposite sides.

  • BTW, at 4:05 I'm using the cymbals instead of the toms.

  • oh okay so they do actually work thanx btw your good:-D

  • That's what I don't get. Well...the real question...why have a REAL kick-ass drum set, and use it to play Rock Band?

  • ahh i see...i guess it's just the video...because it seems you hit before the actual hit. hmm whatever.

  • as in for your TV I mean....

  • I have them calibrated at around -65ms I think. It seems to match the sound, so it works fine for me.

  • i just noticed now...but didn't calibrate your drums?

  • how much does the midi drum kit cost?

  • dats cool i tried the regualr thing and it sucked ass well to me cuz im a drmmer boy yo

  • how did u get the drums like that???

  • Sorry, hit character limit in previous comment. I noticed that in the Cymbal intro (Yellow pad) You were hitting your tom pad instead of your cymbal one, is this just a personal preference or will the cymbal not register as a hit on the yellow?

  • I have it configured for the hi-hat to register yellow, the crash cymbal registers green, and the ride cymbal registers blue.

The kit is about $600, and the parts to make it work are another $100 not including the RB drums that you have to butcher.

  • I've been interested in doing something like this with my RB drums for a long time. But unfortunately I'm 17 and still have to put in some slave labor at the local McDonalds to afford an electric kit. What did that one cost you? Also, was it expensive to get the cables and whatever else you used to wire this up? And was it hard to actually do? Sorry if I ask alot of questions :)

  • Please say you play a REAL drumset and didn't buy this one for just Rock Band... and did you start playing drums because you thought you were SUPER AWESOME ON ROCK BAND!!! From the sound of those fills, I'm guessing my statement is wrong =\

  • Wow, you obviously have your drumsticks really far up your ass. I owned an acoustic 5-piece set for a couple of years before Rock Band came out. I had to sell it when I relocated across country. Playing RB stoked my interest in drums again, so I decided to buy an electronic kit because its smaller, quieter, easier to transport and because I could interface it with RB. Are you happy with that explanation?

  • omfg i need this setup i know how to play this song on real drums but i dont have a drum set so this would be great practice

  • where do u get those sets!

  • i have the same set how do u do this do u just use the usb port or midi

  • You rock bro!

  • :S, nice game hey look my set guys, Roland TD10, this is my first concert ;)

  • you rich bugger

  • you rich bugger

  • holey crap nice set

  • shit! howd u set it up like that!

  • nice drum set

  • nice drum set
