Continuous works best for lighting the screen. The strobe kit works well for lighting the subject.

To be honest, I'd rather use continuous lights in still photography because it's a lot easier for me to meter and see the outcome. Flash has it's applications too, but it's not as user friendly IMHO.

i use a 15 quid desk lamp for blogging and 4 x500 kw lights for green screen work.
