the americans took the design of the BRITISH harrier and "made" their own one (built by the british, in britain, with american parts put in, in america) and called it the "AV-8B". similar to how the Japanese took the F-16, copied it and made the F-2, with american funding and building.

The US did help with the funding of the original Harrier, along with a few other nations too.

That's HJ Altman's 'Jet' panel. If you click on 'HSI', then click on 'Rose' you can cover that hole up (and get HSI). In square area where N1,EGT and Oil are you can install a 'Fuel Gauge'.Harrier rules.

i got the demo for this game and i love it. the only problem is that i can only have a few of the graphic slides all the way up. if i get all graphics as high as they can go, my frame rate sucks. does this mean that i need more RAM? or do i need a new graphics card. right now i have about 1 gig of RAM.

Fist, nozzles fully up and flaps 0. At 60 knots, increase flaps 40 and nozzle 60 Degrees, that should do it. If you REALLY wanna take off vertically, then set flaps 40 and then at about 10 knots, full nozzles. Hope this helps :D

Well, when you keep increasing the flaps, after 40 degrees the nozzles(which are located at the sides of the harrier) will begin to turn by the F7 and F6 Command. And also, keep your spoiler up.

full nozzles, spoiler, full flaps, and you vary the throttle very little, eventually you balance it just enough that it hovers. But the bad things about that, is that the harrier uses HUGE amounts of fuel to hover, that's why its range isn't as great as of the others of the same class. Hey, do you have msn? Its about time Microsoft implement proper Vertical Takeoff and alnding physics! Right now its done (very cleverly by using very high lift flaps, but this sint very realistic as the aircraft still moves, and cannot be controlled well in a a hover, you also cant use the flaps for a normal landing, if you do youll fly upwards a few thousand feet!

if you have windows, go on your start menu and click on "run" then type in DXdiag and click OK and when that shows up click on the "more help" tab at the top and then click on the button that say "MS info" it'll tell you in there. :D
