If the guy playing as the bengals were actually trying instead of doing what you told him to he could have had a td the first play he had caldwell deep. And if you also notice the first play if he would have ran a draw instead of play action there was a hole up the middle he would have gotten good yardage. That defense is garbage. Good players don't need to use tricks to win.
That's one of my favorites in Madden 08 for PC. I do Press, but I don't bring the Safeties up. But I'll only use that up to 3-WR so there's a LB to cover the Nickel-Slot and/or middle zone. In a 4-WR situation, I'd bring just the Nickel-Back & try to overload that side (slide the Line that way) while maybe bringing the opposite End off the line for short Zone.
Some Offenses are really smart & will try to send the TE to the overloaded side, so you gotta be really sharp & flip the play.

I tried messing around with this play a bit, but it seems the TE usually gets away, if there is one in the offensive play. I tried it in NCAA 11 fyi, but it might be the same in madden.
@cwalkin54 Screens work too. I used this play alot in Madden 10 (Way better then Madden 11 ftw) and I have to say it works pretty well. Its not an automatic stop but i Spread my D-line and bring my linebakcers and blitzing safetys in. A screen or flat works pretty well against it but you gotta get it off quick. If the D notices the play coming its pretty easy to stop.

Any decent player that knows how to run the ball will rape this. A few years ago this play was just about unstoppable. I'd user the MLB and cover anything over the middle or just run him right behind the DT waiting for any handoffs. Since then the game has improved and anyone seeing this coming and has any clue what is going on will protect or run all over in the middle. Yeah this play works but normally when they are oblivious the first time.

if you want this play to be more effective, i suggest controlling one of your middle linemen (a fast one) and control him doing a Hook Zone, back away from the line, that way you have extra coverage, plus good rush coverage towards the middle. if their RB tries to do flat, just cover him manually.
This is something good to use in certain situations 2-3 times in a game. If you keep using the same D, good players will be able to adapt to you D and score TD's easily.
i have a ps3, and i dominate ppl i played, letting them only score TD's once or twice, while i get the score of 42-62, depending on how good they are. im a level 12, 105-69 record, might not look so hot, but i im pretty good, i play higher levels tthen me so yea. i started madden off kinda bad too :P
You can actually use that on every down if the teams runningback isn't that good. For example, I played the Saints and it work like a charm on the passing game, but since Pierre Thomas isn't that great, my corners got to him from the outside every time.
bro...this is easy...all you gotta do is read blitz send outside recievers streaking and run in wrs slants or stops...don't just sit in the pocket move like you were taught in training camp when trying to get the pocket passer madden card...if you roll out you'll have time to see SOMEBODY get open...
@familyswim20 cover is good but I would recomend shifting your safties zones out and user guard the deep middle mix up ur defense cuz if a player figures out ur defense they can shred u. If u have XBL let me know I can maybe give u some pointers. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Than factor in the speed of a Santonio Holmes, and you could beat this play pretty easy. Or audible/sub to your trucking runner, run up the gut, or screen it, and your back can slip up getting that easy 10 YAC for the 1st....

bro...this is easy...all you gotta do is read blitz send outside recievers streaking and run in wrs slants or stops...don't just sit in the pocket move like you were taught in training camp when trying to get the pocket passer madden card...if you roll out you'll have time to see SOMEBODY get open...

@familyswim20 cover is good but I would recomend shifting your safties zones out and user guard the deep middle mix up ur defense cuz if a player figures out ur defense they can shred u. If u have XBL let me know I can maybe give u some pointers. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Keep extra people in to block. Anyone who has any idea of what he is doing will do so. Then once you do that you can easily tear apart this defense.

You guys obviously don't know how to run it effectively. If you have good corners and safeties and set this correctly, you shouldn't ever get burnt unless its blown coverage.

I tried this play ,its so bad that its not even funny , someone should delete this video. I kept on getting burnt on every play , just lob up the ball and you'll be able to beat it.

terrible play. a lob to the LB reciever is an auotomatic TD. because the reciever is sprinting behind a defender who is backpedaling.

the problem with this is some ppl may have more men protecting them. i usually have a RB on left and TE on right line of scrimmage. so i get more time to throw and find my receiver in open space since its press coverage

Yeah, all that I know how to do is shift the line and either make the MLB's blitz or drop back, there is nothing there on bringing the safeties down......

This play is money! i also play with vikngs so my blitzing cbs are berrian 96 speed and harvin 97 speed=KILLER! my safety johnson gets 3 pics a game! i run mines a little differently tho...wat i do is i put my safety on the right side in yellow zone my safety on the left in qb spy then coverage audible to bring my safties up (stack the box) bring left cb closer to the lineman and i play the left side of the field with my mlb, try it n tell me wat u think!

im sure this is a good play but i like the 1-5-5 lineup in the pittsburgh playbook... if i wanna blitz i use "under smoke" and for zone coverage i use the "cover 2 sink"

And against a CPU Rothlisberger, he can pass as good on the run as standing still, and he can slip past most LBs in the League, and flip many CBs...
Than factor in the speed of a Santonio Holmes, and you could beat this play pretty easy. Or audible/sub to your trucking runner, run up the gut, or screen it, and your back can slip up getting that easy 10 YAC for the 1st....

why not just move the deep zone safeties up without making them yellow? wouldnt that help prevent the deep ball with close coverage at line too
