  • subbb! u got me back into gw and ima buy gw2!!! thx! :D

  • @Sethosification: well you have to think, this is a demo that is dummied down for non MMO players. So they want to make the game as fun as possiable. There was one instance in the Gamescom demo, that the players trying out the game were lossing to one of the end bosses. Thats when 30 ANET appeared over the hill from the US and turned the tied and were able to help the players beat the boss.

  • @Sethosification The game was set on easy mode at the demo however monsters are easier to kill so u will be able to take on 2 or 3 at a time and making you feel stronger and more heroic

  • I thought the mobs and bosses get stronger whenever there are more people joining the event? doesn't seem like it in this video. It's down in like 8 seconds lol

  • @lilwayne1880 Dude, this is a tutorial. In tutorial you learn how to walk and jump. What did you expect - Naxx 40 difficulty ?

  • @ninjaiwk: correct, GW2 is made by ANET, but NCSoft is the publisher.

  • @SabreWolf18 Wait isn't Anet a subsidiary of Ncsoft. So isn't it basically made by Ncsoft.

  • @metalspoon60: NCSoft as the publishing/parent company does own the rights to Guild Wars as well. Arena Net produces the product with some funding and publishing help from NCSoft.

  • Aww no monk?.. What am I going to play then? D:

  • @yuyu1110 well you can try other professions there is for example the mesmer that in gw1 was too funny xD only have to see your enemies die

  • @yuyu1110 However the healing classes were not funny cause u have to kill the monk before and than the others thats boring :)

  • @yuyu1110: there will be classes that can be spec'd to prot/heal. They will not be a full Monk persay, but you will still feel like your a support role and not a damage dealer spaming 1 party heal skill.

  • @SabreWolf18 DO you have any info on the other 4 professions?

  • but what if you like playing a support class, do they have that too

  • @omgstoptakingnames: ANET assured that if you want to spec into a more support role, you can do it. There will not be a dedicated Monk class like in GW1, but there will be some support heavy professions you can spec for via traits and such.

  • Guild Wars 2 will be the best GAME ... EVER!

  • I love the self-heal idea. Hopefully that means we can do most high-end stuff w/o being "oh noes we need such and such class or we can't go"

  • Hey SabreWolf, any word whether or not this will be playable on the Mac OSX through Wine or Bootcamp?

  • Is there a video of the characters jumping yet?

  • @Feralig there is like 20 vids of that including swimming just search alot for them and you'll find what you need :P

  • Looks so awesome.

  • Have they shown anything new on Guild Wars 2 since Gamescom or is it all the same stuff?

  • @xSagez It's the same demo, you can't really expect them to make huge changes in two weeks.

  • @Jostedalsosten Who the hell said anything about "huge" asshole. Reply to me again and I'll kill you.

  • @xSagez Woah, I think you need help with your anger management issues. Seriously, that was really, really unnecessary.

  • Just did 25 wins in RA today :D

  • i hope they bring back AB its gonna be so much fun with all the combination since theres no dedicated healer

  • @khazharrisuxr599 have they announced that there wont be a dedicated healer..i thought they just said it was just that each class could heal themselves..

  • @PlottingMadness They did announce NO dedicated healer and this is the reason they put a skill slot reserved for healing

  • Hey Sabre!

Is this game coming out in the start of 2011 or is that just a rumor?

And do you move like in warhammer or wow? ;)

  • @santalos5 It is just a rumor since Arenanet is really focused on the fact that the game will be done when it'll be done, and if we look at the class reveal pattern, it will certainly not be in early 2011 before they release all the classes, in my opinion it's probly going to be late 2011

  • realy why is this game not released till half past next year? D: it looks like they are almost done :/

  • @gothica1985 well they have lots of stuff to finish off im guessing, the Crafting system, the underwater fighting, pvp-balance, trade and guild-systems, that are just a few of the things I can imagine..

  • i am wondering if we will be able to turn off messages like the "new event nearby" ones that may appear all the time during gameplay

  • the animation is incredible. Anet has a lot of talented people,no doubt.

  • I hope my PC can handle this amazing game ._.

  • @BboyKonstant it supposedly runs on the same engine as gw1, they just rebuilt the engine so it should work as well as gw1 but looks so much better

  • @Tryillionn Oh kool, GW 1 works perfectly on my PC. Thanks for the tip!

  • @BboyKonstant They are going to try to make this possible for mid-ranged PC's, but when it comes out mid ranged PC's will probably be the type of PC's that now are like super PC's, know what mean?

  • *_________*

  • A few things:

I think these huge scale bosses are missing from GW1. I was fascinated by the size of Frostmaw and the other huge wurm in Dreadnaughts Drift when I first saw them, so this makes me happy.

I think the style is a lot like Aion, which is also pretty decent - that game at least looked amazing.

Have we heard anything about how loot works?

What about character slots and will it be more beneficial to focus on one guy? JW if you could point me in the direction of that info if we have it.

  • @magicalmike2 i think think the skills are a little like aion with the effects i mean

  • @magicalmike2 From demo videos I've seen you can collect loot from corpses (the menu shown near the beginning), and also from chests, as with the loot for killing the shatterer. It seems rewards for participating events just appear at the side to say you've won it.

I don't think they've said much on character slots.

  • @klumpeet I noticed that about loot, but a lot of people either just skip picking stuff up or just hit accept before you get a chance to see what they got, lol.

I really hope we do get a few slots to play with, I'd spend ages trying to decide which class to stick with at first!

  • @magicalmike2

    Its alot like aion?

dude, your comparing Korean style animation with American.

  • @MasakoXer: Aion is a product of NCSoft... which is also the Publisher of Guild Wars 2. So styles could be simular there.

  • That boss looks so cool!

  • FIRST... wow a weight really has been lifted off my shoulders..
