Gilgamesh did not build Uruk. Narmer (Nimrod) did. Narmer dies at the age of 500 in 1770bc while Gilgamesh fears not just death for man, but death for himself which means he is aging like Peleg's whole generation. Nimrod did not have this aging problem. And is why he is called 2/3s god.
The Gilgamesh epic was written upon the rebirth of Venus on April 26 of 2040bc and was then rewritten by king Amizaduga for the reborn Venus of 1645bc March 10. Venus in Pisces rises when Mars is opposite the sun doing its turnabout in Scorpio. In 2040bc Noah reaches the age 930, the age Adam died, though it is calendar year 935 on Dec 18. All men Peleg's age 230 are old, as old as Noah who is 930 and they will soon die. This is when Gilgamesh swears to get the answer to death from Noah.
And he is confused how a man who can predict the death of the whole world by Flood cannot see nor predict what is causing rapid old age and death for his children descendents. Gilgamesh rules 126 year (2157-2031bc) because he fails to prevent ALL SAINTS YEAR when Noah's calendar year 944 begins ALL SAINTS DAY Nov 1.

Hmmmmm I have a question I was under the impression and obvious "facts" Ive been looking into asserted that this should have taken place more than 4000 years ago and i understand that the complete version isnt summerian but an akkadian version taken from the original summerian (being only fragments but older proving true origins) any help would be appreciated
ccording to linguistics and internal evidence of the Avesta, the Irano-Aryan language family originated high in the splendid Hind Kush mountains of Afghanistan.Historical data indicates that one of these Proto-Iranic-speaking tribes was denominated 'Gut' This ancient Iranic root denominated "warrior"as the erudite Waddell notes, the affixed title of Gut or 'Warrior'(Waddell 1929)One branch of this legendary Gut or warrior tribe migrated to India, where they eventually became the renowned Jats
@windsandandstars It's good to hear that I'm still at the top! I think it's a combination of the interesting story and my weird pseudo-British narrating.
people say the epic of gilgamesh and the bible where writen at diffrent times.they why do they both talk about a global flood and other biblical events? they didnt have history books back then you know
THANK YOU SOO MUCH, I have to read and write about The Epic of Gilgamesh for my Myth Class, and it's hard to understand the translated text of the story. This is very helpful, thanks! :]
Now, look up Zecheriah Sitchin's last book (THERE WERE GIANTS UPON THE EARTH), and google around a bit. They found the tombs of two close relations of Gilgamesh, and their skeletons (especially the skulls, with their extraordinary brain capacities) were different from homo sapiens. Do some homework; stop letting "experts" do your thinking for you.
Actually the people weren't complaining about Enkidu killing the animals. Enkidu was running with the animals and protecting them. He was releasing the animals from the trappers traps. The father of one of the trappers told his son to go ask Gilgamesh for a harlot to seduce Enkidu. Enkidu had sex with the harlot for a whole week and the animals turned away from him afterwards.

@wootang7469 I've said before, the story had been adapted slightly, either for time constraints or to try and give the whole thing a more western or mainstream story arc. But I'm glad to see that there are others out there who are as interested in these old stories as much as I am.
not bad , but i want to add something, it would be more intresting if you keep the design of that epoque ! they were not wearing what u drow! and mmm gilgamesh is not that bloody to eat living animals lool i like it anyway it s nice work
I saw this series all the way through, and I want to say I love it! Were you inspired by "Samurai Jack"? It looks so simular in art and layout (fades, pans, etc)
Yeah definitely. I did this for University and had Genndy Tartakovsky (samurai jack, powerpuff girls etc.) as one of my main sources of inspiration and research, love his work.
Great presentation of this story. Passed this information along to Utah's Board of Education to add to their link for 6th grade Ancient Mesopotamia, for this was far better than anything they had on their site. Thanks for the great animation and work. Used this for our 6th grade studies.
My wife has been using this series by "broatington" in her classes to help her sixth graders understand what will happen in their assigned chapters of their Gilgamesh novel. They really enjoy them and keep asking to see the next ones in the series. Even though this contains differences from their text, she likes the brief summaries. It's a wonderful resource. Thanks so much.

I'd like to thank you for creating this series, broatington. Altered and shortened, but still epic.
Could anyone create a "play list" of the 11 parts, so that they play out automatically in a row?
Thanks in advance.
