look at everybody in the audience, clapping together, now those there, are real fans! not those bullshit so-called fans, who gave up on their favorite band just because phil collins left! ray wilson has a beautiful voice, calling all stations is genesis's most underrated album ever! it should have gotten more respect! when i see calling all stations marked down for a good price, i'm fucking buying it! THUMPS UP YOUR A ''REAL'' GENESIS FAN!
Oh dear, it been so long since I wanted to hear that song but I didn't know which band had done it ;-; It's so touching, *sniff*, I'll come rescue you... when this world will allow us to be... I'll always be there, I'll guide us through the troubled seas...
Great Song. Best track of a great album. the b-side songs are also great and the non-album "Nowhere else to turn" is probably the best song of this project.
Hey nsgevo89 i think your are missing the point! Phil Collins didn't sound like Peter Gabriel..but so what he was great at what he did. And Ray is a great vocalist too and he really puts his stamp on this underrated but very poorly edited Genesis album that was a classic case of right music but released at totally the wrong time!! Even Phil was set to struggle to in the 1990's musical desert. Shipwrecked? Too right!
@sentihcn Aw, the age old Peter vs. Phil question. Please don't forget that Peter was there in the early 70s and Phil was there when all 70s music acts had to cope with the new rules of the 80s! Check Queen (Body Language anyone?) or Jethro Tull. Most 70s acts were unable to adjust to the 80s.
That said: Peter Gabriel is one of the finest rock/pop singers ever. Phil has perhaps more stamina (check the bootlegs) and a totally different timbre and personality. I love them both to death.
Its a shame that they didn't do a US tour with Ray ,but sadly as I've heard in the comments here the album didn't sell well here and its a shame ya know?
I admit that as a GENESIS fan I've had high expectations for the band with a new frontman but they surpassed them for me.
*Shrugs* oh well I still have the "Calling All Stations" CD on my iTunes to enjoy! ;)
Awsome!!!

The "new" Genesis was never given a chance. It's a shame when you think about it
because Ray Wilson has a lot to give. Phil was not an original member, but fans gave him a chance. Such a pity.

A lovely song, but for me it was the only one. Good coverage too.

He has a nice voice, but no matter what anybody says, he's nowhere close to Phil Collins.

I totally agree with you... Phil was the best... but I like this song a lot

@nsgevo89
Phil had the best range, although Peter's voice was a little more enthusiastic. Ray's range is...below average.

@nsgevo89 and Phil Collins is nowhere close to Peter Gabriel.
Your point?
