We have a guy like this in Sweden, Åsa Nisse, he also has been rejected by the patent office even though his inventions could save the world.

Åsa Nisses car runs on glue instead of magnetic golf cart batteries, but the principle is the same.

Im not sure how long the glue lasts, but i have talked to some people around town, and i bet there is plenty left by the end of the day.
