I know the only way we can match up to the Wings is to use our speed. They have the size and experience. I think the obstruction means more to the Pens b/c it neutralizes their speed advantage. However, the players are young and will learn to deal with the press better in time, and not with hot emotions...hopefully. I hope for a good series too. The pens are the underdogs, but if they keep the intensity up the series could be up for grabs I think.

The Predators made it interesting against the Wings because of their very active defencemen in the offensive zone. Dallas had success with that same formula when they set Trevor Daley loose. The Pens do not have D that support the attack as a matter of policy. Gonchar and sometimes Letang will help from time to time. But it is not team policy. Any one read the post-game comments? Therrien accuses Osgood of diving becuase his players don't go to the goal. That could be a reason they suck. Him and Crosby also said the Wings clutch and grab in the neutral zone. Not once did they give credit to the Wings for playing a helluva game. No, they b!tch and moan about calls they "aren't" getting. Remeber the no goal on Homer? It sucks when those calls go against you, doesn't it? Don't blame the refs for being outplayed by a better team.
