  • Just pure brilliance..

  • I'm sorry, but my Pavarotti is B.B. King! His voice is the best!

  • Is this an actual event, or is the video "doctored" up?

  • he sings from the soul, he doesn't need lyrics...

  • 24 people with no soul.

Mr King is so cool. You can see why all of the other bluesmen hold him in such high regard!!

    TD

  • does he even speak english?

  • I would have liked to been at the afterparty.

  • I think Pavarotti did forget the lyrics! Lol... Way to play it off Pav! Lol..

  • @dad101781 LOL!

  • @dad101781

Don't matter if PAV forgot(?) the lyrics,I consider his voice like an instrument of the band.

    A good one ! Isn't it?

Moreover we could talk about the commercial matter.....but this is another thing

  • THIS IS WILD! Primal call from Pavarotti and BBK OMG!

  • I wish somebody would tell me how I could download this Pavarotti/ BB King version. Its fantastic.

  • What makes Pavarotti a great tenor is that he dare to do this kind of combination with all kinds of music. It might be a little weird for those who are little minded, but i strongly admire these two masters and the performance.

  • This goes the f*ck off! Real music in the building.

  • This is great .. wonderful ..

  • TRMENDAMENTE BUENA ESTA MECCLA DE ESTILOS,NUNCA HABIA ESCUCHADO NADA PARECIDO,SON GENIALES LOS DOS

  • Guatemala and Kosovo...the thrill is gone...fuck the wars...

  • @nkualele

Kosovo is Serbia. Deal with it.

  • SIMPLY THE BEST!

  • Wow !!!!! no comment!

  • Τέλειο δίδυμο!!!!

  • This is brilliant!

  • B.B.King is not fat...he just need enough space for his talent

  • @kostasalmyros 100%true

  • @kostasalmyros i think so

  • OPERA IS OPERA AND BLUES IS BLUES

  • @ihatesexpistols music is music

  • @ihatesexpistols yeah.. we think the same.

  • wow.... the king of the bues himself.... great show

  • Theblahman, you are right: BBK is great, no doubt! Pavarotti makes me laugh...

  • Those who say this is great music do not understand anything about music. Pavarotti is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS here!!! When I saw that I slipped under the table laughing at it, I couldn't stop!!! Every time I think of it I start laughing and I can't stop... AHAJAHAH...

  • @961carman true, but BB is undeniably great

  • This is one of the most sublime musical performances that I've ever seen.

  • Pavarotti's version of Great Gig In the Sky.

  • pavarotti got owned big time. he was one of the best opera singers in the world, but bb just rocked the place! hard to imagine bb doing nessun dorma either.

  • @Lariblok I would assume from your comment that you don't have a very diverce expance of taste in music and that you have a strong devotion to BB King. Remember this concert is Pavarotti and friends, he invited BB to collaborate talent not to see who is the best. When you spew smack such as you did you show how small minded you really are.

  • @ntir..........:) so goooooooooood

  • whts pavarotti doing up there? anyone know plz enlighten me cos i`m trying to figure out how is he adding any value to the music

  • All this is ridiculous...

  • @961carman You're ridiculous fuckaa !!

  • Pavarotti forgot the lyrics.

  • Comment removed

  • @zekk0ut Duh ?

  • @zekk0ut ahuahuahua

  • @zekk0ut I think, that if Pavarotti were to take the vocals of the song, to sing the words, he could have sent it right to heaven! But BB kinda stole the show when our tenor couldn't sing the words. Kudos to BB. Now that Pavarotti is in heaven, he may be able to sing "The Thrill is Gone".

  • This is one of the best versions of this song. If someone wants to know what it's like to make music with feeling, better watch this

  • LOL LOOK AT PAVAROTTI JAMMING

  • Music surpasses all boundaries...race and religion......

Unites us like nothing else...........Long live the Blues.

  • 2 GIANTS!

  • Pavarotti: great classical tenor, NOT a bluesman!

  • @twongler Anyone can be a bluesman or blueswoman, all it takes is having the blues, which everybody has. Pavarotti gets down with B.B., and you can tell he "gets it" by his body movements. The man has soul.

  • im sorry, but really? this doesnt work at all.

  • NON CE'NE' X NESSUNO !!!!!! GRANDIIIIIII

  • nice! for the love of music that can listen to great differences. How awesome to harmonize with BB king!

  • the king when you come to the netherland it like its cristmass when i stole lucille

  • @mootjeak ?

  • They really don't mix

  • Pavarotti: Get some chitlins into that man, he's got soul.

  • long life to our King

  • Heart-felt facial emotional expressions relate to release of a sad relationship and letting go.

  • Wow complementary

  • how people can push dislike button i just can't understand :(( amazing

  • What awonderful musicians !!!! God bless them.

  • fantastico!!

  • esto esta tararareado ,GENIOOOOOOOOO,PAVAROTI GENIOOOOO¡¡¡¡

  • No matter what, you put one of the best song ever written, and two of the greatest artists and that kick ass....

  • oh no,isso é misturar o imisturável,ópera com blues,bb King amo de paixão,blues ana veia.rs

  • 2 masters complementing each other as best they can with their different skill sets... nice!

  • The Best Version Of Thrill is gone by B.B. king Not because of Pavarotti B.B. sings it with greatest feeeeeeeeeeling

  • i really do like this which is weird because im not into opera at all really... :) awesome version

  • The thrill is back!!!

  • This is Great!!!!

  • Thanks for your reply! I still wish you would be able to give Pavarotti credit , however now you saw him "off to the side" & "looking uncomfortable" Something I have never seen a Master Tenner do???? This is a trained man who sings in many languages & still manages to have his audience understand every emotion he sings. I believe he was showing respect to BB King & his song. Try looking at Him & James Brown in "This is a Man's World" The blend of the 2 styles & 2 languages are fantastic to me.

  • @donna10donna I think that...sei una donna di grande gusto!!!

  • Pavarotti is so cool!

    Master of masters!

  • Simply surperb! One of the greatest blues men the earth has ever seen. And Pavarotti is the voice of the gods.

  • This is why we still need the arts. I don't know of any other field of endeavor where two people at opposite ends of the spectrum can come together and produce something this enjoyable. Ya think?

  • Opera + Blues = EPIC DUO

  • I didn't think they could have Pavarotti sing the lyric to this one. I can just hear the blues sung with an Italian accent. Ima frrrrea froma you spella - God bless them for the effort. Just, some things, some people can't do. B.B. King singing Opera and Luciano, the Mississippi blues. Can We say this - is it impolite?

  • This is great! Thanks for posting.

  • Wow! What a very unlikely combination of Pavarotti and B.B. King doing "The Thrill Is Gone". I loved it.

  • Bb King is on top of his game here!

  • RIP Luciano. ONe of the best Opera singers in the World, singing alongside THE best blues guitrarist in the World. I think it speaks volumes that Pavarotti was prepared to do this - he didn't take himself, or Opera, too seriously

  • WTF?

  • Am I the only one who thought this title was a joke!? lol

  • @FroopieLoopies yeah.

  • No toca la guitarra, se la coje

  • @sebigaf jajajajaa

  • this is beautiful.

  • Que maravilha, wonderful

  • Must say: This version is THE BEST i've heard.

Just a shame that Pavarotti is in it.

    hands down Pavarotti is awesome.

But this song he screwed in my opinion.

  • thats it ..... they are feeling the music, not only use theri instuments and technic. I love it ! ! ! ! !

  • Weirdest combo since Bing Crosby and David Bowie did The Little Drummer Boy. That Italian guy should have at least learned some of the words of the song.

  • @gumbyreally Just so you know this IS the Italian guys show. you know "PAVAROTTI & FRIENDS " They are both Legends . To discredit Pavarotti is just Ignorance.Google him to see who he is, oh and how many languages he speaks.

  • @donna10donna Yeah, I know it was Pavarotti's show. He's not my kind of music, but I understand different people have different tastes. After I watched this clip I checked out some other clips from the same show and some weren't too bad. But I have to say this was the worst one I saw (for him at least, not B.B.). He just stood off to one side looking uncomfortable and not sure where to come in. When he did open up, it was just a few unsteady notes. Not much of a performance IMHO

  • This is fire

  • Wow what an interesting blend, and it so worked.

  • I think this is his best version of this song - I don't know what he did to his guitar but I love it!

  • gringos pendejos no se les escapa decir puras mamadas

  • I'd like to listen to Pavarotti singing "The thrill is gone from me..."

  • la cara de bueno que tiene pavarotti!!! por dios! jaja

  • these two go together like sex and cigarettes

  • Is that a Italian guy singing Blues with a black guy playing Opera? :D:D

  • Fantastic...although it really would have been something to hear Pavarotti sing the lyrics.

  • Is the Pav high, he has no idea whats going on or what to sing or when to sing. lol

  • B. B. King, who is the king of blues, has been king of italy since 1999... Greet The King...

  • look,,my favorite band is pantera........but this is classy

  • heheh this is ending song on berlusconis bunga bunga partys

  • this tune takes me to another universe mmmmhhh yeah

  • BB king is my hero... he obviously avoided the 27 club to play guitar for the rest of his life... and he is still a steamy, steeze cat!

  • This is the first time in my life when I see a jazz legend and a legendary opera singer SINGING TOGETHER the same piece :)

  • @worras2007 BB KIng is NOT a jazz legend. Blues! And you better believe no one can do it better! Amazing song!

  • BB Fucking King! He's 85 now and STILL kicking! Wow!

  • Pavarotti did very well , seeing he covered a blues track....the other way around....?...not sure how well Mr B.B. King would do...??? Love them both by the way!!

  • whole audiences looks like a nazi's army at 00:08 whata amazing both talent... its a real music its a real art its a real soul...

  • A rare classic to keep in my favourites........

    Good music knows no boundries......

    Thanks for the post!

  • How BB King feels what he plays... It's amazing

  • He is BB KING the KING :) The lucille's master :) And Luciano is the best in the opera music :) is the fuckin' best couple :)

  • there is more talent up on that stage than should be allowed on one stage

  • unpardonable...

  • surrealist time yeah!!!

  • at 2:08 the maestro is starting to feel the blues in his bones :D

  • In this case I like BB KING a lot better ;)

Pavarotti is not bad to ... but in an other song he would sound better.

    Not in this one ...

But it is really great that they did this together.

  • cool, now when do we get to hear B.B sing opera?

  • To dislike this video is hard for me to believe. Well, I guess you can't please them all (dummies).

  • the Michelin lil Tyre boy cancelled on the last minute

Well this is the worst thing I have ever heard and seen in my life! O-O SORRY

  • Liked Pav, love BB.....but did't enjoy this at all.

  • è incredibile come pavarotti riesciva ad adattarsi a qualsiasi stile musicale impressionante!

  • Damn, the Italian boy's got the blues!

  • Marvelous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Grandes

  • He had to have someone post the words like when he sang with Liza Minnelli at least she was prepared, but this is awsome anyway, saw it years ago, seen B.B. at Mr Kelley's in Chicago, back in the... rats, must have been the early seventies, then again in Chicago, a few years later. Then last time in Orlando at the House of Blues, he is still awsome. Even though The King had all the "and Friends" concerts he was famous for, he's not a crossover, Now that's Bocelli!

  • pavarotti se quedo pendejo

  • laoooooo laooooooooo larooooooooo larooooooo laaaaaalaaaaaaro!!!

  • Take a look into Luciano's eyes... That's awe, that is. Even a Maestro of THAT caliber is scared shitless at standing next to Blues Boy himself.

  • Luciano 's tonal fill is fabulous, a wonderful and novel addition to this standard of blues standards; BB's performance of course without equal. Thanks for posting.

  • the two biggest (in both ways) whores in music; is there anyone one of these two hasn't played with

  • Pavarotti got owned. Too bad, I was hoping he'd sing the song, not do fills,

  • Pavarotti is so cool. The Maestro can do anything.

BB. King, what can I say. He is BB. King. "The legend."

  • Pavarotti didn´t know the lyrics.

  • first time i listened b.b. vocal on treble, the bass was luciano.

  • Autant B B king est comme d'habitude genialissime que Pavarotti on ne s'este ce qu'il fou la !

  • BB Carried This Duet

  • 2 Legends in one stage!

  • This was somewhat weird but very tasty!

  • This is the first time I've seen this . . . The King of Blues and the King of Classical . . . just blew me away . . . f******g real groovy!!

  • The way Pavarotti follows those chord changes with his voice is incredible, respect to the big guy <3

  • @LiveLearnPlayRock

He must've been a real cool dude - I guess.

  • @cherkadelics guess so man :)

  • screw all of you, pavarotti is feeling it, look at him, in his own little world, belting out that howling cry, just close your eyes, don't look at it, listen to it, it's epic, even though he just sings a few notes. and let's face it, you can mix up a lot of genres, but opera and blues are at opposite ends of the scale, so i think he did a great job, plus, look at his smile and their embrace at the end, genuine respect, that's rare nowadays.

  • @leiposuctie Agree with you.

  • @leiposuctie you're absolutely right man!!!

  • screw all of you, pavarotti is feeling it, look at him, in his own little world, belting out that howling cry, just close your eyes, don't look at it, listen to it, it's epic, even though he just sings a few notes. and let's face it, you can mix up a lot of genres, but opera and blues are at opposite ends of the scale, so i think he did a great job

  • Ouch!! awesome!!! b.b. 4va :).

  • a master blues man practicing his craft plus a master opera singer, you can't beat that.

  • OMG.. how kool

  • Aw, I was hoping for a verse from Pavarotti.

  • I wonder who's heavier?

  • i think this wasnt that bad.. in fact it adds a little soul and harmony to a deep song like thrill is gone... it just seems wrong cuz its a new sound:D

  • It doesn't matter who it is, everybody wants to play with B.B. King lol

  • this is a strange one! but if you think this is a strange pairing, go look up Pavarotti and James Brown! they work well too, unlike here unfortunately.

  • this is bizarre! mad props to both of them though for being so open minded..

  • Fuckin' A!! THIS IS AMAZING!!

  • Got to thank youtube and the uploader of this video, without them I would have passed away not seeing this magnificent moment of history.

  • Who cares if Pavarotti sings lolololo? I fucking love the tone that 'lolol' gives to this song by BB King

  • @Megatrane

As i said before man, two legends working togather, it is fascinating...

  • Due GRANDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow amazin

  • Legends singing&playing togather although from complete different genres. It is always magical..

  • OMG yes thank you recommended videos! Saw this vid in the list and started hyperventilating cuz i didnt know this version existed

  • oh wow...just priceless.

  • amazing....
