  • There's a whole lot of dreams dreamed in jug town.

  • doesnt sound like kingston trio

  • @barrybanjo because it's the 'new kingston trio' only one original member

  • its catchy but kinda melancholy may be cause i prefer duets

  • @artimisjlunar true, but i love it.

  • i like neil hamburgers depressing interpretation

  • Neil filmed his video in the Saddle Sore Saloon in Norco, CA. That is Prarie Prince from The Tubes on drums and playing the wino dad, LOL I believe Dave Gleason, the guitarist in Neil's video arranged the Jugtown tune for his version. I like how Dave added the Buck Owens-ish "Who's Going To Mow Your Grass" type fuzz guitar lick. Awesome.

  • Neil Hamburger's cover is waaaay better.

  • well, to each his own. You must honor the fact that without this version, there would be no neil hamburger version.

  • Totally.

  • @mortson978 Yeah but Hamburgers is better.

  • too true..*sniffle*

  • theres music in this one!!! *gasp!*

  • the question is, for how long?

  • This was indeed the version that Neil Hamburger was inspired by. There is also another version by Buddy Knox, that has a completely different ending verse that is much less forgiving of the alcoholic lifestyle.

The New Kingston Trio was actually a different group than the Kingston Trio...only one member in common.

  • Well, I tried to find all of the best pictures I could. Unfortunately they're not very well known.
