  • There´s a lot of talk about steroids here. Good luck with that and an early heart attack.

  • He's one buff Asian. I wonder how big is his peenus

  • his jerk is fcking solid!

  • at a real meet they wouldnt have the weight loaded like that, they would have 3 reds a blue and some change. thats how you know its not a legit meet.

  • @guter2444 I was just thinking the same thing.

  • the floor is so interesting, I think I'll film it

  • honestly where is this fucker now except nowhere he made world record but nobody even knows and cares about how he is and where he is at all we know this guy is dead and not many people even would give a shit and this guys is a world record holder just no luck with his sponsors and timing is just plain wrong

  • The cameraman is a beast.

  • that guy is built like a freight train

  • world record in 1998, but now 2010 there are more weightlifting champion that can do over more than 218kg.

  • @forumreader1

Wrong. His record still stands in the 85kg class, nobody has been that close in competition either.

  • @VastChoirs Ilyn hit 216kg (Jr. World Record) as an 85kg in 2005 World's, pretty close, but I agree with you recently no one has been in touch with it.

  • @grambo22 kendrick farris lifting for the USA C&J 207 hes gonna break the WR at 218.

  • @guter2444 Farris is impressive, and I'm cheering for him, but he hasn't been able to hit the big numbers in competition. He seems to have trouble being accurate with the squat jerk. Sure he has hit 210ish in training, but in training you have unlimited tries, not like a competition. He just switched back to his kick jerk style as well.

He won't medal without improving his snatch +15-20kg in under a year, but I hope he breaks the WR in C&J.

  • @forumreader1 no, they can't. this world record still stands in this weight class. nobody has beat it yet!

  • That's 218 clean and jerk and for his weight it might be a record because he looks 170 or so.

  • @Hesam0000 he's a 85 kg lifter so 187 lbs

  • how many pounds is that.

  • @nintendovspcuniverse more than 400pounds

  • nice lifting, but what's with the first 55 sec of this video???

  • Comment removed

  • @LOSGUERREROS619 zhang yong jew? more like asian on steroids. seriusly its proven to be harder to build muscle and strenght for asians so why would one set a record in it without cheating

  • @Rajsad1 You're retarded.

  • @Rajsad1 Yes, he's probably on roids. "its proven to be harder to build muscle and strenght for asians". Where did you read this?

  • @Rajsad1 What you're saying sounds familiar. Now, where did I read about something like that! Oh, yes, Adolf Hitler declared in the 1930's that Blacks couldn't possibly win any track and field events, because they're physically inferior. And, here in the U.S., blacks say that white people can't jump or play basketball. Hmm...should I go on with more groundless, racist generalizations!

  • wow

  • not this is a basketball hall

  • Looked sickeningly easy for a world record. What ended up happening to this guy? Did he do well in any international events?

  • when was the wr set??

  • solid jerk. odd place to break a world record as well haha

  • i like it

  • nice jerk ...

  • Pyrros Dimas did 215kg in 2000 olympics and he was at the lower end of the weight range. This guy definitely looks like he's at the high end of 85kg, and he did 218kg. Does this mean Dimas was on steroids?

  • @illouie no it means dimas is a god, and this guy is a fucking freak like Ilya Ilin

  • @LazySniper So that's the new catch line losers like you come up with: world champions are freaks now...

well, sorry to break it to you, faggot boy from greece, this ain't ballroom dancing it's weightlifting. Dumbass faggot.

  • @awaii90210 i respect Ilya Ilin, but 16 years old and world champion. that's just unheard of. ilya is like naim, he's one of those guys that is perfect for weightlifting.

  • how much would that be in lbs?

  • 479.6lbs

  • perhaps he did taken to much drugs?

  • @fmh1208: is that your attitude towards all sports? you think the same when you watch hockey games? because they've done exactly the same, they're just too rich to get caught. there's working anti-doping action only in individual sports and that's why individual athletes get caught and people think they're doping but the team athletes aren't.

  • why was he never at the olympics?

  • he only snatched like 155-160

  • i love how the bit in the background says ''jerk'' lol

  • asian

  • whats world record

  • is this official natural?

    amazing

  • He set the WR in some high school gym in Israel?

  • imagine him on steroids

  • haha at a world record holder NOT on steroids

  • exactly, so many people are fucking nieve to think steroids are not in weightlifting

  • @chiefwr88 Don't be jealous boy. He worked to be that strong, a steroid users' arms would break before he could lift that. Don't you know anything about how steroids work?

  • @Vivaswaq not quiet... you dont have to pump in viles of trenbolone acetate a day to get strong. 1 dose a day over a period of time will amplify most of your strength gains while also helping your joints and connective tissue. plus steroids arent "magic" that you are injecting. and they dont stay in your system very long after you stop. an athlete could stop dosing 6 weeks before an event and could go undetected.

  • QUALITY!

  • wheres 3rd attempt?

  • Goddamn, that's impressive

  • Unbelievable but still not as good as Yurik Vardanian's 225 and 230kg clean and Asen Zlatev's 225 in the 82.5kg class.

  • Yurik would have succeeded with 230 had it been a second attempt. Six for six is too tiring. Zlatev also seemed good for 230. Zlatev snatched 183. No one it seems can actually beat or even equal those 1980's machines.

  • Yeah tell me about it. I wish they would get rid of the anti-doping BS. As you may have seen, Ozwunder69 has the video up of Varbanov cleaning 217kg TWICE in the 75kg class in 1987. This means at least five pounds lighter than today's lifters in the (77kg) new class. Who doesn't want to go back to those days? Today's lifters could even surpass them. There is no rational argument against doing so.

  • Let me add that it was actually 217.5kg Varbanov cleaned in the 75kg class. At he makes it look easy. He could have done 227.5 some time in his training. No doubt in my mind. It's really sad a lot of these guys potential got wasted. I read that Ivan Chakarov snatched 202.5kg and clean and jerked 240kg in the 1988 Olympics training hall just a kilo over the 90kg class limit. Can you imagine doing that only to have your officials pull you out of the games at the last moment?

  • What I read about Ivan is that his best strict standing press was 120 kilos. Just 15.5 more than me and I only weighed 69. But I was an upper body strength cultist having come from gymnastics. It is still odd that a man can only strict press half his jerk. Seems like 60% minimum would be likelier. The old Olympic press was a piece of junk I remember Ivanchenko falling over backwards once in Paris with 172.5. Alexeev failed there with 230. Drug supply must have been curtailed.

  • esto es un record oficial por que el record oficial es de llya llin 216 kg lo hiso el 2005 en doha qatar y ese es el record que yo sepa quisas esta competicion no sea un mundial

  • thanks for uploading this video those were easy cleans to

  • WOW WHAT BWT?

  • 85!

  • He is So muscular ..Not like typical olympic lifter and wat was wrong with loading they didnt hv red plates to load 218 ...i guess this is the oldest WR still exists
