  • would like to try it with a hover craft....

  • lol that thing is guttless

  • how does this boat do this ?

  • all firefish boat designs are copied from shuman boats

  • Yes sir been there done that 25 footer sandbar 3ft high On the Athabasca

  • get an airboat man. it wouldn't even breath hard going up through there. you're trying to use a pliers to loosen a lug nut here

  • @duckyager

I certainly understand what you mean there............but the crazy noise would drive be bonkers!! For now I'll have to stick with the pliers!!

  • boat is to big for this creak my be a canoe, kakay be bit easer for this size of water

  • I would be leary of my freind asking if I want to go for a boat ride and then he asks me to bring a SHOVEL,, gads thats shallow,, safe boatin.. see ya

  • why would that make you leary? I thought everyone takes a shovel when they go on a boat?

  • center section is 3/8" 6061 aluminum covered with 1" of UHMW

wings are 1/4" 6061 aluminum covered with 1/2" UHMW

  • and powered with a sportjet

  • hey im getting a g3 gatortough 1652 jon boat with a 60 jet. Can i run up some of the crazier rivers in idaho oregon utah and what not. Thanks

  • By crazy do you mean heavy whitewater or really shallow and rocky?

  • BOTH

  • It's really tough to expect one boat design to exceed at everthing. Sounds like the one that you've selected will be a bit safer in the really shallow and rocky. It's kinda scary running an open boat with lower HP in even moderate whitewater. Be careful and have fun! Don't forget the videos and photos!!!

  • Keep in mind too that running over rocks and such purposefully with a 0.100 thick boat bottom will leave you VERY disappointed! The boat in the video has 0.375 and 0.250 bottom sections made from a higher tensile aluminum that the G3. Top that off with 1" and 1/2" UHMW as well.

  • do you guys know of anyway to get more performance from the 200 sportjet? I have one ai would like to get more power and performance from if possible. can't find anything on the web.

    Kris

  • I have not heard of any perf. items or mods either, which does seem a bit odd in our age of aftermarket technology. The only tip I have is "MORE COURAGE" LOL

  • simon motorsports can recurve the ECM and he offers a loghtened fly wheel and there are a few minor other mods you can do to them but gains will be minimal

  • what's the make of those boats? obviously a SportJet engine, though

  • Firefish with a 200 Opti.

  • Now that is some skinny water! I will never complain about our rivers being low again. They are raging torrents compared to this. thanks

  • Love it, lots of that up here in AK. Little rocks cost you time, it's the big rocks that cost money. Check out ToshiroAk for some Alaska Rips

  • Dorry worry I'm a subscriber to ToshiroAk, I don't miss an episode!! The country that you guys run in leaves me speachless.......very pristine and remote.

  • hahah thats awesome man. those teflon bottoms can sure take a lot of abuse

  • Yeh lets take our $40,000 jet boat and wreck it, must have money to burn.

  • Depends a little on your perspective I guess. You'd never buy a dirtbike to run it on the road. Likewise these boat were built to run these types of waterways and some of us like it that way :oP !!

  • Good thing your'e running a sportjet because i think you'd be hooped in a v-8 powered boat. It would take twice the amount of guys to push it back in.

  • Have these guys ever really learned how to run jet boats,,,? NO

what a bunch of dumb asses.

  • Wow.......you must be Awesome! Guess we're going to have to get some lessons. Where and when there.... Awesome???

  • Jesus Christ, I hate going in water any shallower than 10 feet!

  • What is this song called?

  • "Energy" by Collective Soul

  • big balls ....how was the impeller after that ride?

  • Typically under that type of "extensive" use we normally need to rebuild impellers after 40 hours or less :o)

  • where abouts on the red deer are you. looks like alot of fun!

  • Between the Garrington bridge and Sundre.

  • YOU GUYS ROCK!! get it, rock... OK 'spose that's a common joke for your sport. I'm from Minnesota metro, we avoid VERY shallow water, so you guys are amazing! =D

  • ive been there its fun =]

  • your boat needs wheels the way you drive, i dont think i could have waited till spring either......crazy Albertans

  • Maybe a winch as an optional add-on? lol

  • how much for the boat???

  • Both the boats in the video retail for about $40K

  • Is that an Outlaw boat

  • Similar, but built by a company called Firefish Industries.

    firefish dot ca

  • I would love to try one of those boats,

  • Cool boat. Does it have plastic on the bottom? Can you post some photos of your camera set up on nzjetboating dot com webboard. Love those two strokes

  • Full UHMW: 1" in the center section and 1/2" on the wings. I'll work on the photos. The helmet camera setup is available at helmetcamera dot com .

  • The camera is the same one used in almost all the the race videos. It can be run into a variety of camcorders with A/V inputs and preferably a LANC control jack.

  • Great little FireFish. Thats some braided water.
