  • I want My Innocent India back

  • @hrishitiwari

i honestly have to disagree with you on this'

kids of now will never say about things as such because i feel the innocence and simplicity is long lost among kids and us as soon as technology took over'

Guess you didn't have those memories on which you can think upon but its alright mate..but your way of thinking is just PRACTICAL..like a machine which doesn't hold true when emotions are at work'

  • i was a kid maybe in 2nd standard just cant get enough of this ad..i still remember when my dad got bajaj scooter '

and this ad shows it so nicely the real India unlike ads of today time where you see a six pack model shirtless drives a bike and a slutty model gives a sensuous look to the bike..and then the rider'

    lol'

  • Those days are gone forever

  • @hrishitiwari you are wrong. We are not talking of corruption, greed etc but how the Indian society was. It was simple and people were happy. Now we are consumerist, get more money but still unhappy

  • Hamara Bajaj used to speak of the country's integrity towards a same cause.A beautiful portrayal of the true culture, this ad remains in the heart of every Indian.

  • its a dictation from tv ad makers and bollywood in india they nevr think of people they make what can be sold . vulgar words . now adays evengirls have started using dirty words.one girl in my city small town jaipur i had met in a social site she wrote"fk u" i felt much sad that day i determinediwud nevr marry . i have to changemy india.

  • @ handsome2430123 correct you are correct ,

but is not more idiot who can not judge . i mean to say that handsome2430123 is not an idiot nor you . reason- 1990's first phase and india watched doordarshan . it was a start so only renowned singers musicians were allowed . now culture changed also .now indians are not religious not patriot not gooddin family life love ethics evrything changed . we are responsible for it and only we can change our india .cricket bollywood tv destructed india.

  • OMG!! am watching dis add in 2011

    thnx D:)

  • Those ads were so pure and pristine ...it reflected the common man...nowadays people are so arrogant and power hungry

  • Sweet memories! Who is the singer of this ad?

  • Ads are about lasting impact. I can still remember the words "Bharatki ....tasaveer"...Flash may sell now, but will we remember? On a side note, legends also aim for the same thing.

  • haha reminds me of andaaz apna apna lol hamara bajaj

  • bajaj puls er

  • the PULSAR of yesteryear

  • Son's surprise for mother & Watch the expressions on mothers face when she saw his bajaj scooter.what a add with gem.

And todays bike adv.I even dont want to comment on them.

  • Its amusing to see glorifying the 'good old days' and saying that it was all about values, and patriotism....In reality, you are just getting nostalgic about your own childhood. Corruption, power, greed and lust has always been there. Its just that, in our childhood, we are not affected by all that. Hence, you think that there was some kind of moral utopia back in those days. 20 years from now, the children of today will say the same things about these times.

  • @hrishitiwari dude you are Sigmund Freud reincarnate.. respect ;)

  • @hrishitiwari

    sahe bola bhedo

  • Surely, up to some extent you may be right, but one thing is sure..graph of dishonesty, shrewdness, immorality, distrust among people & division has increased significantly..

old time, for sure, was better as bad things definitely were there but there spread and intensity were lower. People were better as human being, more coherence & unity had prevailed at that time. Now you will ask how can i say this all...because bloody shit like can not understand. thts the plight of our poor country.

  • @hrishitiwari

    Bingo!!

  • @hrishitiwari Can't agree more on that! Well said.

  • @hrishitiwari YOU ARE WRONG. Its not just about the childhood. You ask someone who is 60 yrs old , he would say DOORDARSHAN ERA was better, not his childhood days. 80s 90s were so special to everyone in india .

  • I don't have the count on number of comments i have read on internet...this is the sanest comment i have ever read....thxx for sharing...

  • @hrishitiwari dude u r really rong.. U r nt able 2 understand the emotions of lots of people here. Its not about glorifying old days.. Wht v r talking is about- growing up in the nineties. Those tv serials, sitting together every morning with the whole family for ramayan, mahabharat. Playing with friends after school,etc.. Just ask whether todays kids even know abt those serials.. Joint tv viewing is replaced as there are 2-3 tv in evry household. Those innocent period is lost forever..

  • @hrishitiwari spoken like a wise man...

  • @hrishitiwari you are a retard !

  • @hrishitiwari what you say may be right but technology has changed life a lot within a short period.children no longer play outside, terrace.no more kites, no more family dinner.but before 1990s all of these existed.so a major change has occurred and we are spoil t with choices and everything but world suddenly seems very violent, gruesome , unforgiving all because of 24*7 channels portraying these.crass reality shows, cheap gimmicks going viral.SO WE WANT THAT SIMPLE UNCOMPLICATED life back

  • @hrishitiwari not sure i agree entirely.

In those days since entertainment avenues were so poor (no mall outings, no brands, no iGadgets, no XBOXs, no PCs internet, no 287 channel packages.. ) children of those days were so deprived but made do with what we had (50ps ice candies!!) and tried to get same happiness quoutient. These days all served at your plate... no struggles, nothing.. and you never realize the value of things.. or beauty of life's simplicities and rawness

  • Whatever happened to the good old days. I wish I could get a time machine. I so want to go back to 80's and 90's. A time free from technology, computers, mobile phones, Playstations...Playing on the streets after school, exchanging comics with friends, cycling, the aroma of evening tea while waiting for Doordarshan to start at 6 in the evening, Dekh bhai dekh, Chitrahaar, Byomkesh bakshi, superhit muqabla.! Sigh, the golden era..I dont want to live in this age anymore...It sucks...

  • @Whatsinname10 superbly said... Those were my words.. or i believe everyone who grew up in the nineties..

  • @Whatsinname10 agree man those were real good days when people were happy on meeting each others now fb is all they need. too bad

  • @Whatsinname10

Boy, you are really getting old ;)

    Me too! Love these ads!

  • The driving force back then was values, patriotism, love towards your country, respect for elders...today, sadly, the driving force is getting laid and making money.

  • Too good...too natural...!

  • it is so soothing....

  • In those days ads were abt capturing human emotions... any indian could relate to what was shown. That is why it still evokes such strong nostalgia...

  • i'm nostalgic...i just love this ad....i do have my dear bajaj intact n will keep it forever...i love my bajaj

  • this is a milestone in indian advertising baja scooter is one the part of indian middle class family......................

  • the golden days. when all was innocent. all was pure. all was real. not like today's fake world. those days will always be cherished!

  • Try BAN, MOD GIRLS, fantastic tune!

  • Remember good old days?

  • proud to be BAJAJ biker

  • 90,s was i time when indian television industry produces some masterpieces and unki barabari kabhi nahio ho sakengiiiiiiiiiii

  • I Think Of Andaaz Apna Apna when I see this

  • I love this ad.

  • the purity that ads of that time possessed is missing somewhere today.except for a few good ones none of the ads today have the capability to connect with the common man.but this one did.the tagline'hamara bajaj' is enough to tell us that it belongs to us

  • really "HUMARA BAJAJ"

  • Years 1989 - 1995

I remember playing chess, football, cycling, reading comics - Chacha Chaudhary, nagraj, billu, pinky, raman with my friends during my summer holidays. We used to play from 6.30 AM to 8.00 AM in the morning and from 5 PM to 8.30 PM in the evening.

These ads remind me of my days in school, some study and all play. Please upload Aamir Khan's Hero Puch ad in early 90s.

  • hamara bajaj

  • Those cute Sardarji kids sitting backwards on the scooter and playing. And its written on the back cover . "Chunnu munnu ke papa ki sawaari" Ahhh.....Such a soul to this wonderful ad.

  • Remembering the old days when all the families were on hangout with their one and only famous ride on Bajaj

  • i agree with handsome2430124...today watching television has become a menace

  • omg olllld memories :(

  • wish i could travel back in time and live that life again. Those hot summer days, and mom used to force me to take a nap in the afternoons and I wanted to go play hide and seek or gilli danda. Going to shopping center with dad, standing in front on scooter, and asking for mango candy "naturo". And now, here I am, in United States, have all the freedom to do what i want to, eat all candies and chocolate, but it doesn't taste as good as that old naturo. Why is there a longing for those old times?

  • @warbirdsss yu know...yu are so right....omg...i have been living here in new york for about 2 years now....i really miss the indian spirit....america is a free country but india is a fun country......

  • @warbirdsss

I wish I could upvote your comment 10 times.

  • @warbirdsss It's called nostalgia, and it's not unique to you.

  • @warbirdsss Well said bro...Even i feel the same..Those Sundays whr i used to wake up listening to Jungle Book title song...Those summers where i used to wait for evenings to go out for play...Those days adjustin antennas for cricket matches. . DD news...weather reports :p..My Dad's Bajaj Chetak..5 star chocolates which were precious than a jewel to us..

God take me back and lock me in those days...Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee..I beg you :'(

  • Good old '90s...DD is only entertainment we had in those days...I remember we all sit and watch movies, advertisements....Thanks for uploading..

  • We used to watch commercials as much as the programs and also the news.. to see who the news presenter would be... sweetness of nostalgia... brings promises for my today!

  • i want to go back to the early 90s. I almost cried remembering those days. Agreed we did not have laptops, cell phones and other gadgets those days but life was so relaxed, everyone were around u as going abroad for a better career was not as frequent or popular that time. It was indeed a golden age..

  • That's what i think capitalism does to a country, everything changes and we get so engrossed cos of the materialistic things around us caused by capitalism, comfort, luxury, etc seeps into us, cultures change, etc.

I can very much empathize with you.

  • why the hell nobody is uploading the sundrop commercial...i liked that much...even you people shall remember that a boy would jump off the fence and run in yellow dress...please try to remember...

  • i shall write the word that i remember the old days as other people have already expressed my thought in their words too.....but i want to say one thing..........................WOW....................take my most precious thing and give me back my childhood with such a good time...

  • this ad touches the patriotic nerve in a gr8 way.

    feels nostalgic

  • Brings back all those beautiful childhood memories : ) best thing is that it speaks abt India

  • Just felt like comparing this with today's bike ads.A shirtless guy with muscles hits 4-5 guys n sits on his bike with a sexy lady sitting behind hime.

The 90's era was so pure when it came to advertising.Nothing creative happening in d world of advertising.sad!

  • @handsome2430123 Absolutely true. The add represents indian values of family, kids and hapiness. Todays adds are not value based and dont think will be remebered.............

  • @handsome2430123 - Its all a function of the economic progress of the country and the amount of disposable income. Back then, a scooter was something you saved up for and then used a transport medium at scale. Right now, bikes are sold more on emotional value (how they make you feel and showcase you) as opposed to functional value.

So it would not be right to compare the two. We have such fond memories of these advertisements because we grew up in almost a clutter free ad world and only dD =)

  • @handsome2430123 coz that is a bike, supposed to be sleeker n more macho, and this is a scooter, which people get after the sleekness and macho image is replaced by a wife weighing as much as the bike itself(fun intended)

  • @handsome2430123

wats so impure about a shirtless guy and a sexy lady??? lolz.....hate judgmental idiots!

  • nostalgic !!! :-)

  • This was my first ride, the most amazing experience when I first rode it.

  • well i did century...dint i...:)

  • When i saw the bajaj again is in southern california univ..where my eyes really tears.America permitted BAJAJ on the roads.

  • what an amazzing music to start with

  • Classic ad .. gets me 15 yrs back...to those childhood dayz when i use to sit at my father's bajaj and sing this song...i use to feel the king of the world...luv those dayzz..thnkx for posting

  • mee tooo man......i luv to ride with my dad...i reallyyyy miisss it...

  • @dannygill21 The way you wrote made me visualize wat a baby girl would have done... yes those were the ads with indian flavours, lots of grace no glamour!!!

  • its made an history - yeh zameen yeh aasamaaan

  • Hey - nothing lasts forever Even when you stay together But i can only say its we ... Who change everything.... keep smiling...

  • ohh man....this one use to be one of my favorite ads to sing along with.....along with offcourse Mile sur Mera tumhara.......

this really is very nostalgic.....from all the stuff on tv....its these really catchy musical ads i remember the most.....listening to them does make me miss my childhood and India ever more.....

  • Hamara Bajaj

  • Bajaj, bring back manual scooters! LML is doing well exporting around the world.

I have 3 Chetaks (a restored '77 2-stroke, a good running grey-market '02, and another '02 parts bike) plus a matte-black cutdown Legend chopper. If Indians get a stronger sense of nostalgia or "retro" maybe they'll bring the classic Indian machine back. Hopefully they haven't trashed the tool and dye and presses at the factory.

  • This is so nostalgic... i miss this times a lot.. watching ramayan, mahabharat, giant robot and all these classy ads,.... i miss a lot...............
