maybe in the NEAR future they could be related, like in Gen I when hitolee and hitmochan were not related until Gen II where we have tyrouge which evolves into one of them making the both related........but its just a guess

just because Luvdisc and Mamanbou looks similar doesn't mean that they're an evolutionary line.

I don't really care for either one. But it honestly doesn't make sense that they wouldn't be realted. We have a heart shaped pink fish, and then a heart shaped pink fish...with hand like fins....it just seems stupid that they aren't related in any way.

@ThePokeman14 You know, luvdisc can be pretty bad-ass epic if you train it properly and give it moves that aern't all attacks, you know, like how teaching beedrill poison spikes helps toatally wipe out all other pokemon even though it has terible defence, combine it with a defencive move like protect, and BOOM, epic pokemon. Now, put somthing like that with luvdisc, which really dosent have many things it cant defend against, and its epic

So lame xD Why in the world did they made a heart pink fish pokemon thing if it's not related to luvdisc. I mean, Luvdisc was a dumb idea as it was, but i mean, they didn't have to double that dumb idea, make a pokemon that looks exactly like an evolution of another, and then say it's not. I mean, thats about as sorry as when they said sudowudo was a rock pokemon. I wanted a tree pokemon that was actually grass. -.-;

@Reviewer158 BECAUSE, duh, this season they're not including ANY pokemon from earlier seasons at all, they thought it'd be good to start over this season. So, anyway, if Mamanbou is there, then there would also be its pre-evolved form there too, so basically, no, it dosent evolve from luvdisc

I feel that mamanbou was going to be a luvdics evo at some point, like very early in development when the artist were just thinking up ideas for new pokemon. But then it was decided that Isshu was going to be a far away region and that they wanted entirely new pokemon unrelated to previous ones this gen, and rather then scrap the idea for mamanbou, they just cut off its planed evolution and changed it a bit.

@PinkSneaselGirl That makes a lot of sense. I personally hate that there is no ties to Pokemon from the previous generations, they even replaced the staples in games: pikachu, zubat, geodude, tentacool, machop, and abra.

@PKMNmasterJuice Not only that, but I heard rumors about a banette and eevee evolution that I was really disappointed to find out were false. Those would have been so badass.

I'm actually glad most of those pokemon aren't in this game, particularly zubat and geodude. Koromori and dangoro are very acceptable substitutes for those two. People hated to see zubat in every freaking cave, but I have yet to find one person who says they hate koromori.

@PinkSneaselGirl I know all those rumors of supposed evos of old Pokemon sucks it didn't happen. About the Pokemon I mentioned as staples I know they are annoying but they are what connected the older generations with the newer games that came out. Anyways Koromori and Dangoro are good substitutes and we will love them as their older counterparts.
