Hanging on to conspiracy theories is very similar to why religious people cling to God: the need to fill a knowledge gap, and refusing to accept that major events do not require major causes. The saying is " For the first time in history a steel reinforced building was brought down by fire. This is physically impossible at the temperatures reached inside the world trade center". -Tapes I recorded from ALL the news channels - ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, MSNBC - you get the picture. I had every available broadcast up on ALL the monitors - again, this was in real time, and I can say, without a doubt that the debunking of the conspiracy theory doesn't add up. As far as the president, and his admin's involvement - I can also state this: At best he/they knew and did nothing (Many tried to warn him, or get warnings through the screen). At worst? I reserve judgment.
