I remember the first time i sucessfully dodged it, i was online, racing on the Luigi Circuit, it was a close race, i was on the third lap, halfway through that turbo turn right before the finish line, and i dodged it and ended up winning :)

no luck involved just skill hey if u people dont know every way to dodge a blue shell they r a cannon or ramp (ex.ramp dk jungle parkway) speed boost mushrooms mega mushroom star and if u have already blown up when the blue shell strikes u can do it also but i have heard some cars/bikes miniturbo can work to but i am not sure that is true

Whenever I get a blue shell. If the player who is ahead of me. I would wait until when it's almost the end of the race. Then i use the shell.

lmao that was just coincidence that the mushroom was just lying there at the perfect time to dodge the blue shell. Also it is possible to get a mushroom in 1st place but extremely rare. It only happened to me once.

That's not surprising. I still haven't come across one yet, but I find Daisy Circuit always seems to give me triple mushrooms at the start and then a Spiny Shell straight after when I finally reach 1st.

There's a version of the dodge where you escape but your racer still does the animation of getting hit. Hope you don't get that one as the game starts item spamming (2 Spiny Shells one after the other or Spiny, Lightning, red shell combo) like mad. Happened to me twice in a row. Creepy.

No, you DON'T get mushrooms when you're in 1st place. What may happen to make you THINK you're getting it then is if you briefly drop to a lower postition while the item roulette is spinning and you manage to return to 1st place when it stops. The only relatively useful item you CAN get in 1st is a red shell (just in case someone overtakes you).

Show me a vid of anyone getting a mushroom while 1st with NO OTHER RACERS near, then I, and others will agree!

I TYPED you DON'T get mushrooms in 1st as an ITEM (item roulette). Not a mushroom laying on the track!. Instead to telling me to watch again, maybe you should READ again. I have heard of people saying it can happen with certain racers (Daisy, Funky Kong, etc.) as they have some sort of luck rating. I have been 1st a lot with many racers and find I NEVER get mushrooms in 1st. I once got a bob-omb in 2nd place, but it could've been because the other racers were very close.

I have him and he's like all I use. ;) What I recommend using is the standard large bike, and using wheelies on EVERY straight road. It gets you the star-rank and it gets you Dry Bowser. ;)

why dont you try the dolphin bike for medium size it has good speed acceleration and handling i mean thats the only bike i use since i unlocked it and the phantom for large is almost the same but more drifting and less speed just for a bit

yes!!! one time i was able to jump and not get hit by the pow block, takes mad timing, my best adive to avoid pow blocks is of course hit the ramps, ive been able to dodge the blue shells and you always can get out of a blue shell when you get shot out of the cannon on DK summit and other tracks.

you can dodge a pow by either being on a jump or do tricks like use dpad for gc and analog for classic and shake it for the rest and u will still spin around but keep ur speed

I don't know for the Gamcube version, but on Wii you never get mushrooms in first position. Only bananas, bombs and green shells. I don't know about the Gamcube version since I don't own it, but I would really be surprised if they gave the guy in first position speed boosts.

I've only gotten bananas and red and green shells. Mushrooms, I'm not sure about, but there is NO WAY you get bombs while in first. That's just plain cheap.
