Male or female, no matter what the role or the age, voice actors will change their voices to reflect a character.

Jesus, I never knew Vanessa Marshall was such a douche.
She's lucky enough to be working on a show that's successful and long-running, and has a huge following, and ALL she took away from it was "I didn't know the character was African American. I thought he was just a normal kid." Guess African American isn't "normal" in her book.
What an asshat. I can tell Greg Eagles almost slapped her in the mouth. He would have been justified.

Okay, let me simplify it for you.
1.) She drew a distinction between "little kid" and African American. She makes it clear that in her sick mind an African American child can't be a "little kid." They are some sort of other.
2.) She repeats her discomfort with playing a black character THROUGHOUT her empty-headed rant. CLEARLY this is a real issue for her, even after so many years.
What part of this are you not getting? Her words were racist and inexcusable.

She's not... she wasn't thinking in races she was just thinking " I'm going to do a boy's voice, he looks a bit like a geek with those glasses so I'll be talking like so" when she then found out that it was a black boy it came as a surprise since she is white herself that she would be playing something that was so far from herself...

I'm thinking you're just overly sensitive to every little thing that could remind you of someone being racist and then you feel a need to be loud and angry...geez... she's sitting next to a black guy! Some people feel the kinky need to defend every bigoted or otherwise rude comment in order to cover for their own biases. I think that's where you're clearly coming from.
