I don't mind like a person seeing me sleep in public but my fear is the animals and bugs so I gonna stay in my little bed

I could sleep like in a park or something, where no one would be immediately near me or have to bother me. But I'm terrified of sleeping in public in close proximity to others, for the same kind of fear of drooling/snoring/talking/cloth­es becoming disheveled stuff. As long as there's like fifty feet between me and people, and no animals or bugs likely to bother me either, I'm good to go.

I have slept at best buy the last two years on black friday, and also on the park and ride into downtown Houston, and It's always fun! Especially when you are on the bus, ccause you never know at what stop you will wake up. hopefully the one you need to get off at. :)

I sometimes sleep in the bus. Just when it's early in the morning and i have to go to work. It's just like doing a last 'power-nap', so you'll be fully charged for the day. Well where I live in The Netherlands, this is more a taboo than in the US. Dutch people don't like to get caught sleeping. I don't know where this comes from, but they just don't. No one talks about it.

i have slept in public....my mom and i were visiting my sister in paris a few years ago and when we got there it was still early but here it was late and jet lag was a killer so we went down my the seine river just to sit and look at paris and we all fell asleep at the edge.

I'm from North Cal (and we have fairly good weather) and you can sleep outside if you want to. But if I go to sleep in the nearest grassy area I would be sleeping in a Japanese school guarded with police officers... Don't think that's a very good idea....

I learned never to this if at all possible after falling asleep at an awards banquet in college. I was just sitting there listening to the speaker droning on in this hypnotic, monotone voice and it knocked me right out, right there sitting at the table, surrounded by dozens of other people! I was awakened by the sound of someone shouting my name and awoke to find the speaker still on stage was the one shouting at me and everyone was laughing at me! I have this weird thing where I sleep on transportation (bus, car, etc) so I do sleep in public.

I normally miss my stop if I sleep on the bus (unless I'm the last stop) but luckily I have a cell phone with a timer to time 15 min then it buzzes me to wake up. If I am nowhere near my stop, I add a little more time to the clock.

My friend and I were touring Sevilla in the middle of summer all morning long. When its the hottest point in the day and all the shops are closed, its definitely time to for a siesta. We had nowhere to go so we just laid down on a bench and took a nap. It wasn't too comfortable and it was little nerve racking (Spain ain't exactly the safest place in the world). But, it was a wholesome experience I think. :))

My work commute used to involve an hour on the subway on each direction. I'd tuck myself into the seat, drop my head to my chest and snooze the whole way to work every morning. My commute ended at the end of the line, so I knew when the train stopped for good, it was time to wake up.

I have Narcolepsy, I can fall asleep anywhere. I get woken up on the buss, light rail, library, park ...moving vehicles are really difficult for me. And as far as how fast you can fall asleep; if it takes significantlyless than 90 min to hit R.E.M. sleep, theres probably an issue. Narcoleptics can be fully asleep and dreaming within seconds of closing there eyes. fwiw

Sleeping in public? Not much. At first because we hardly have any parks here NOR good weather (the Netherlands) but. After a good night of partying in the city.... i try to sleep in (on?) the train station. Though the only reason why i cant fall asleep is.
