Thats sounds like plastic, is sooo plastic my god, its suckss.... buy the TC Electronic | Nova System or the Line 6 POD X3 Live!!!! this digital shit really sucks....sorry
no, it isnt... both are awesome for X purpose...the X3L its better for modulation of amps, but the GT-10 its way better in the effects.... so if you have a tube amp its better the GT-10, but if you havent the X3L is the better option, also for recording its better X3L.
Sounds like ... gt-10. I own one and to be honest it does not matter if you choose 5150 or rct vintage or modern or whatever, the only difference I can hear is the level of hiss in gain. Dissapointing somewhat.
i know why sound bad. he used PREAMP 5150 and USED ANOTHER PREAMP "the preamp of her amp maybe is a marshall", so, when you use 2 preamp "amp sim + your amp" the sound is bad. simulated preamp, are made for to play directly to a power amp, or inside the mixer or pc
@ersemola i think its just what is happening to me. got a marshall vs 100 and the gt 10 and want to improve the sound. i just use the clean channel on the amp :S
yes.. i have experience... pre amp in gt10 you should to use direct pc, or some box.. better to have a good real amp, and to use effect in pedals, racks, on only effects in gt10, of course connect before the amp effects as: comp, eq, octaver, wah, and in fx send return: chorus flanger delay
What is better talking about sound: Boss GT 10 or Boss GT 8? I mean GT 10 is so digital? or GT 8 is the same, or GT 8 is more natural? excuses for my english !!
The gt10 sound is better. I've had both, and the gt10 is more advanced with more features also. You can record a loop for 38 seconds, and it has an easy to find sound feature also. But you could get a used gt8 for a lower price on ebay.
thanks for your help, anyway, I bought this unit four weeks ago, I'm very happy, with a little bit of patience, you can have amazing sounds and very nice distortions.
its an upgrade for gt 8 obviously .i own one myself and its very useful and fun to play with. cant say much about this gt 10 but it looks quite a good upgrade and it has more features.if you have the money go for this baby.
Slicer just slices the signal into segments at a selected rate. This of The Smiths song; 'How Soon is Now' at the beginning. Cool effect, but pretty limited application. Its like a more digital tremelo effect, with more gate on each segment of sound.
wow! thats all i can say is wow! love the pedal budy! is that like some kind of special verson of the boss gt 10 or something cause it looks different?
but now im thinking of getting the gt 10! i have the me50 now and its a great pedal to get started with. but i have mastered it in a year and am ready for something more serious and more kick ass!
thats the gt-10. its not a special version, thats how they all look. i just got mine a few weeks ago. its an amazing pedal, a HUGE step up from the me50. but before you spend 500$ on the gt-10, go check out the me70 that boss just came out with. its a bit cheaper than the gt-10, but they took alot from the gt-10 and put it in the me70.
Someone knows how to dropped D without touching the strings on the gt-10. With the Gt8, we had Drop D (with pitch shifter) in preset. I tried with my gt-10 and it sounds not very well. Thanks
I think the "Eruption" pre set sounds best for van halen, I just started playing again since 89. I didn't know these things even exsisted... I'm most certainly impressed with the gt10
the ght 10 is the best thing on the market right now. you can get other more expensive ones with tubes and things like that but for around 450- 550 its the best pedal ever made
Actually.......the Fractal Axe-FX or Roland VG-99 are the best on the market at this time with the GT-10 coming in close along with the POD. Again, my opinion so your mileage may vary!
Gotta agree with some comments regarding distortion. When it comes to effects, Boss is boss, but as far as distortion goes, you really can't get better than a big Marshall with the pre-amp on 10!
Peavey Kicks marshall's ass!! I use to play all marshalls JCM 800/900/TSL until my buddy brought home a Peavey XXX and that friggon amp blew all my marshalls away. Its even better than my Mesa triple rec.
That's the thing..."on 10"?! I have a Marshall too...but I got a MG100HDFX cause I can't turn it up to 10 and wait for the tubes to warm up! Peavys are pretty awesome too...is just a matter of taste...
Nah, I knew it I just want into spending a lot of money when im not a gig player and again I dont want wait for the tubes to warm, those amps need to be played pretty high on volume to get the real thing from them...again just a matter of taste/opinion.
Tube amps are quite a bit more expensive than modeling amps and that is a reason I have a Spider 3 modeling amp. (but I have a Roland VG-99?? Go Figure?!?) And if you want the full potential from tubes, you have to run them at high volume OR you can get a Hot Plate and get the tubes hot but maintain a reasonable house & neighbor friendly volume.
Yeah, that was my point exactly plus I really like the clean sound I get from it...then I got a GT-10 and havent dedicated enough time to learn all the stuff I can do with it...I dont even no how to plug (successfully) my other pedals and use them when I have my GT-10 in there! Life's a busy place I guess. Cheers.
....ok..heres the deal....I have a gt-10....it has the best effects...but i use a keeley modded ds-1 for distortion...the gt-10's distortion kinda sucks....if your looking for sistortion.....go with the vox tonelab le....if you want effects...the boss is the right choice.....
seem to have aquired every single issue going with the X3L ..
1) Pod will often not boot up
2) Audio dropouts -
3) Variax will sometimes not be seen in Monkey or Workbench
4) Pod has been turning itself completely off
5) I see the * on loading a new patch without making any patch changes.
6) I edit a patch in GearBox (3.64) and send the finished patch to the pod. When I load the patch back using the stomp buttons on the Pod the patch has changed (much louder and dirtier)
Hey Melkp1980..U have no earthly idea of what ut talking about. Many professionals play these things on TOP selling classic albums. to save the edit patches (tones or anything else) you need to press "write" 2 times after editing
you should read the user manual ._.
