  • yea horrible sound...!

  • horrible you dont deserve that pedal noob ¬¬

  • This didn't help me make an informed decision at all.

  • GT-10 is too good for your skill mate, well done. lol

  • this hurt my ears. if it hurts your ears, tone is bad. sorry. GT-8 is better sounding.

  • @rkc5150 I agree I tryed out the gt 10 and did not like it, I have a gt 8 now and I prefer that for my rock tones!!!

  • you realize you can plug the gt-10 into the computer directly with a usb cable....

  • Oh god , my ears...

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT DUDE!!!!!!! yours awful

  • Nice quality, did you film it with a calculator??

  • @WhackaJacka HAHAHA

  • @WhackaJacka

For holy ballz' sake, have you ever searched GT10 reviews on youtube? Others' vid quality's no better than his!

  • @WhackaJacka Be nice dude! Still, that WAS a funny comment.

  • @TheRoyalPython I'm hearing with my studio monitors and sounds bad anyway =D

  • @TheRoyalPython but uhm... can't you hear all his string hitting? I could on some chords so... that's not exactly direct input xD that'd mic'd up

  • Can you turn down the suck?

  • 5150 sound??????????

    toy sound

  • might try a peavey vypyr

  • nowt special like is it???

  • weird sound ... my ME-20 sounds better than that ... seriously

  • こちらマイクで収録ですか?line撮りですか?

    jc-90購入を考えているのですがjc-120と違いますか?

    line out はありますか?

    突然すみません。教えて頂けると幸いです。

  • Thats sounds like plastic, is sooo plastic my god, its suckss.... buy the TC Electronic | Nova System or the Line 6 POD X3 Live!!!! this digital shit really sucks....sorry

  • @DreamCross

    .........theyre both digital.

  • Pedal is awesome but your record is horrible!!!

    SORRY MAN.......

  • it's not a pedal)

  • Ok... Is a "GUITAR EFFECTS PROCESSOR FLOORBOARD"

  • Agree

  • no, it isnt... both are awesome for X purpose...the X3L its better for modulation of amps, but the GT-10 its way better in the effects.... so if you have a tube amp its better the GT-10, but if you havent the X3L is the better option, also for recording its better X3L.

  • how do you set what you want the exp pedal to be

  • Sounds like ... gt-10. I own one and to be honest it does not matter if you choose 5150 or rct vintage or modern or whatever, the only difference I can hear is the level of hiss in gain. Dissapointing somewhat.

  • i know why sound bad. he used PREAMP 5150 and USED ANOTHER PREAMP "the preamp of her amp maybe is a marshall", so, when you use 2 preamp "amp sim + your amp" the sound is bad. simulated preamp, are made for to play directly to a power amp, or inside the mixer or pc

  • @ersemola i think its just what is happening to me. got a marshall vs 100 and the gt 10 and want to improve the sound. i just use the clean channel on the amp :S

  • yes.. i have experience... pre amp in gt10 you should to use direct pc, or some box.. better to have a good real amp, and to use effect in pedals, racks, on only effects in gt10, of course connect before the amp effects as: comp, eq, octaver, wah, and in fx send return: chorus flanger delay

  • sounds awsome i know people are not liking it but it beats my digitech any day

  • this sucks

  • did you record this thru your headsets microphone or what??

  • sounds like shit...

  • this is going to sound dumb, but if this is a preamp, does that mean i can send the cable from this to a power amp and then to a cab?

  • yeh dude u can. and its nt stupid. its unbelievable the people who dnt knw u nd a pwr amp. chrs

  • dur...

  • I would put on some more presence... =)

  • What is better talking about sound: Boss GT 10 or Boss GT 8? I mean GT 10 is so digital? or GT 8 is the same, or GT 8 is more natural? excuses for my english !!

  • gt-8 sounds like bullshit , go for the gt-10 , or if u cant afford it , look into zoom g7.1ut or voxtone lab.

  • The gt10 sound is better. I've had both, and the gt10 is more advanced with more features also. You can record a loop for 38 seconds, and it has an easy to find sound feature also. But you could get a used gt8 for a lower price on ebay.

  • thanks for your help, anyway, I bought this unit four weeks ago, I'm very happy, with a little bit of patience, you can have amazing sounds and very nice distortions.

  • The gt 8 is a great unit , good luck with it.

  • its an upgrade for gt 8 obviously .i own one myself and its very useful and fun to play with. cant say much about this gt 10 but it looks quite a good upgrade and it has more features.if you have the money go for this baby.

  • does the GT-10 have the slicer moder like the GT-8 does?

  • yes it has a slicer in it, no idea what it does but yes it has one

  • Slicer just slices the signal into segments at a selected rate. This of The Smiths song; 'How Soon is Now' at the beginning. Cool effect, but pretty limited application. Its like a more digital tremelo effect, with more gate on each segment of sound.

  • it's a bit stupid having a GT10 with a straight up USB connection and recording the audio from the effin cam...

  • this sucks, fucking tone is horrible....

    what a shame.

  • Really men the GT-10 is very GooD but, you... Really...

The Best Pedal that i know its TC Electronic G-System Floor Based Guitar Effects/Management System 25 Effects, 5 Discrete Loops, Amplifier Switching

XD sorry don´t tell you more!

  • we all know that you noob but for one you can get 3 GT-10s

  • Lol, this horrible.

  • wow! thats all i can say is wow! love the pedal budy! is that like some kind of special verson of the boss gt 10 or something cause it looks different?

but now im thinking of getting the gt 10! i have the me50 now and its a great pedal to get started with. but i have mastered it in a year and am ready for something more serious and more kick ass!

  • thats the gt-10. its not a special version, thats how they all look. i just got mine a few weeks ago. its an amazing pedal, a HUGE step up from the me50. but before you spend 500$ on the gt-10, go check out the me70 that boss just came out with. its a bit cheaper than the gt-10, but they took alot from the gt-10 and put it in the me70.

  • Someone knows how to dropped D without touching the strings on the gt-10. With the Gt8, we had Drop D (with pitch shifter) in preset. I tried with my gt-10 and it sounds not very well. Thanks

  • this sucks

  • I think the "Eruption" pre set sounds best for van halen, I just started playing again since 89. I didn't know these things even exsisted... I'm most certainly impressed with the gt10

  • is this ALL the gt10? i have a 5150 myself and it sounds DAMN close...

  • Is this the, the gt8, gt6 or voz tonelab better for tone, effects, ease of use and versitility?

  • go play them in a store and find out for urself

  • the ght 10 is the best thing on the market right now. you can get other more expensive ones with tubes and things like that but for around 450- 550 its the best pedal ever made

  • Actually.......the Fractal Axe-FX or Roland VG-99 are the best on the market at this time with the GT-10 coming in close along with the POD. Again, my opinion so your mileage may vary!

  • what is your amp settings on the boss for that so i can use it sounds good

  • Hey risingforce86

Little known fact George Lynch worked with Peavey R&D to fine tune the XXX amp.

  • Nice sound dude! And great playing!

  • Gotta agree with some comments regarding distortion. When it comes to effects, Boss is boss, but as far as distortion goes, you really can't get better than a big Marshall with the pre-amp on 10!

  • Peavey Kicks marshall's ass!! I use to play all marshalls JCM 800/900/TSL until my buddy brought home a Peavey XXX and that friggon amp blew all my marshalls away. Its even better than my Mesa triple rec.

  • Bit of owners bias? :p

I'd take a vertical input JCM 800 over a Peavey amplifier any day.

  • eh, i wouldnt mind either but if i had to choose i think i might go peavy

  • i would way take a marshal over a peavey but with the difference in price peavey wins

  • u should try DSL, or JMP-1 from marshall dude, peavy is good, but marshall IS...

  • That's the thing..."on 10"?! I have a Marshall too...but I got a MG100HDFX cause I can't turn it up to 10 and wait for the tubes to warm up! Peavys are pretty awesome too...is just a matter of taste...

  • I had to RE-READ your comment and was about to say that YOU GOT ROBBED because the MG100HDFX doesn't have tubes.

  • Nah, I knew it I just want into spending a lot of money when im not a gig player and again I dont want wait for the tubes to warm, those amps need to be played pretty high on volume to get the real thing from them...again just a matter of taste/opinion.

  • Tube amps are quite a bit more expensive than modeling amps and that is a reason I have a Spider 3 modeling amp. (but I have a Roland VG-99?? Go Figure?!?) And if you want the full potential from tubes, you have to run them at high volume OR you can get a Hot Plate and get the tubes hot but maintain a reasonable house & neighbor friendly volume.

  • Yeah, that was my point exactly plus I really like the clean sound I get from it...then I got a GT-10 and havent dedicated enough time to learn all the stuff I can do with it...I dont even no how to plug (successfully) my other pedals and use them when I have my GT-10 in there! Life's a busy place I guess. Cheers.

  • ....ok..heres the deal....I have a gt-10....it has the best effects...but i use a keeley modded ds-1 for distortion...the gt-10's distortion kinda sucks....if your looking for sistortion.....go with the vox tonelab le....if you want effects...the boss is the right choice.....

  • this does not sound like a 5150 LOL

Vox tone lab SE = far superior tone

  • digital distortion will never as good as a good crunch channel on a valve amp. the other effects are good though, im gonna get a gt-10 for them

  • seem to have aquired every single issue going with the X3L ..

    1) Pod will often not boot up

    2) Audio dropouts -

    3) Variax will sometimes not be seen in Monkey or Workbench

    4) Pod has been turning itself completely off

    5) I see the * on loading a new patch without making any patch changes.

    6) I edit a patch in GearBox (3.64) and send the finished patch to the pod. When I load the patch back using the stomp buttons on the Pod the patch has changed (much louder and dirtier)

  • I have the GT 10, I'm not super impressed with the distortion pedals on there. All the other effects are pretty good though.

  • i also have GT10, and have the same opinion. i hope it just question of time to know it better, and program my own superheavy distortion

  • Hey Melkp1980..U have no earthly idea of what ut talking about. Many professionals play these things on TOP selling classic albums. Given, the sound demonstrateed here needed tweaking, but when it is tweaked - you and nobody else could tell the difference. Go and watch Robert Marcellos demo of the GT-8 and then Marty Freidmans live demo with it. And that was the GT-8 the 10 blows it away. You will realize you make yourself look dumb and uneducated when U make un-needed remarks like that.

  • After playing a 5150 that thing isn't even close to the sound of a 5150. It just sounds like a digital copy of EVH's tone.

  • too bad my 5150's real =]

  • have someone tryed the pod x3 live?

do you prefer gt10 or x3live?

  • bah.. i think that sounds like the gt-8

  • what is better? PODxt or GT 10

  • gt10a ofc...but podx3 live can be may better

  • X3 Live will never be better, it has to many bugs and line 6 guys are struggeling to resolve some of the issues wich personaly i tink many of them will never be fixed!

  • What do you mean by the word "bugs"???Ans what issues are trying to fix???

    pls answer

  • Go 2 line6 forums,you'll see things like this:

    Mar 7, 2008 4:02 PM

    Hi everyone,

Many of you have been experiencing audio drop outs when interfacing your POD X3's to your computers via USB.

This announcement is to reassure you that we are working on the issue. So far, we have have worked with a couple of you offline and have received some very valuable information as to what may be causing this drop out. Basically, I'm saying that we're on it and we'll get it fixed.

    ....

  • i have a gt-8 but the axe fx looks like a really nice setup. still havent played one though

  • great for in the house not on the stage or rehearsal room

  • Is GT 10 better than POD XT LIVE or GT 8..how are the amp models?

  • dude i just got my boss gt-10.. do you know how to save the edit tones? like delays, reverbs to CTL 1 or CTL 2.. im kinda newby..

  • Read the manual, man!

Save patches with write, to set effects to ctl pedals: master/pedalfx->pdl fx (or assign if you want to get deeper into programming)

  • to save the edit patches (tones or anything else) you need to press "write" 2 times after editing

you should read the user manual ._.

  • Can you please tell me your setting? :D

  • Guitar: Peavey Wolfgang

    Amp: Roland JC-90 (LOW INPUT)

  • u should get a 5150 and not this thing :(

  • Nah dude. Just Nah.

  • Sounds nice but not really like my 5150 amp.

  • He's probably like me and lives where you can't even turn a 5150 past 1 for the neighbors. And it does a decent fender clean sound for those occasions.

But I agree. If you want eddie's brown get the 5150

  • Mr. alepaan

The guitar that I am using is Peavey Wolfgang.

  • What brand of guitar and pickups are you using?
