  • he should speak goa'uld, because the language of the goa'uld is ancient egyptian.

  • Haha what a dick. "My greetings. I am the God Ramses. I am the living embodiment of Egypt, the Father and Mother of all civilizations."

  • @LordClaremorris You say we?? whos we? Are you anthropologist because eyeball anthropology is going to get you no where. The history of sumeria and egypt shows that there were established trade relations between them! Tell me something i dont already know, of course semitic languages are close to Afroasistic, because there part semitic!! My point is egypt is and will always be and african civilization point blank. Dont nordize egypt to make white people happy. Be true to history.

  • why are people making fun off me country idk

  • Gaddafi

  • another one of the Civ leader who annoying me a lot

  • This is inacurate, Ramses II had red hair and light skin. In other words he was a ginger. look it up

  • @GrandeSalvatore96

Wait you can see his hair in this animation?

  • @Zyr4n I think he means the actual Ramesses II mummified body, it shows he had red hair. Weird huh

  • @GrandeSalvatore96 Dude you better take another look at Ramses lol. He had dark brown skin and as for his hair it was never actually shown in his depictions! East africans to this day still dye there hair orange with henna, that being said i need not explain how the mummification process damages an changes hair color over time. If you are trying to be eurocentric and a Nordic bastard you can take your shit somewhere else. Im getting tired of debunking people left and right about this subject!

  • @aznien9 Okay, I'm Phoenician asshole, alright, I know a lot of other Phoenicians that are blond and blue eyed but darker skinned. I'm going to go with the proof I see, not what someone tells me on youtube. I wasn't asking for your opinion I'm sharing my view not trying to push my beliefs onto you. Merry Christmas.

  • @GrandeSalvatore96 Woow!! your an idiot haha!! Did you just say you were a phoenician?? You do realize that in this day in age theres no such thing as a Phoenician dumbass. Carthage and Phoenicia ended along time ago lol. I suppose if that were the case Syrians are still Hittites in some aspect lol, and Iranians are Persians, even though neither empire still exist. Were you born dumb or raised dumb? ROFL!! Thats the funniest shit ive hard in awhile. Im indian so i guess that makes me indus lol!

  • @GrandeSalvatore96 First off if you were a Phoenician your basically saying your a north african. Second its "Blonde" not blond dumbass! Lol you forget there has been invasion in north africa over several different historical periods greece, rome, arabia muslims, and persian, most north african inhabitants are berber and arabs and are partial mixed africans so you dont really make a point not having good ethnic knowledge of the geographical location! Phoenicians are closely related to egyptians.

  • @GrandeSalvatore96 My point being that historically the egyptians were africans to begin with, and there society changed over time into mixed cosmopolitan society. Same with Cartheginians and Phoenicians which is the same civilization. So merry christmas to you faggot! Learn some damn history before opening your mouth and sounding obviously ignorant. Your not a damn phoenician idiot no one is really, unless you have some autosomal dna blood work to verify your claim! ROFL!! XD

  • Oh maaan ... this Ramesses is speaking Egyptian Arabic ..

Civ games should be based on mentioning every single information about any civilization.

Small historical mistakes make the game a big shit

and in civ .. we have plenty of them

  • @IRON9LORD Then again, how many everyday ancient Egyptian words do we really know?

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't say too many.

  • @Trinucleotide

Dont mind me, ill just contradict that statement...

We know almost all the words of the Egyptian language, it is truly beautiful, and is similiar to the of the Nubians, or Ancient Sumerian Phonetics.

Then again, it fits into neither of these categories.

By the way, the egyptians had no vowels in their letters. =P

Alkndr is a good egyptian example,

Notice how the only vowel is the starting letter.

It means Alexander. I could go more indepth, but Character Limit. =)

  • @TheHKY09 Sumerian isn't Afro-Asiatic at all. Neither is Nubian, so, lolwut? Similar to Egyptian? Egyptian's relatives are like Amharic, Arabic, Hebrew, Punic, Aramaic, Akkadian. Not Sumerian or Nubian.

  • @LordClaremorris

Sorry, I dont know how to read cuneiform or speak sumerian, so I am only basing that off infomation I have (possibly mis)heard, I partly drew to this conclusion myself, considering Egypt's proximity to Sumer, and, some words ARE similar. (notice the word SIMILAR, not same)

The Sumerians and Egyptians share a (very) small number of words, if only different by the placement in a spoken sentence.

Can we please take this somewhere else where there isnt a character limit?

  • @TheHKY09 I don't know much about Sumerian myself. My knowledge of Hamitic-Semitic Languages is not very great. My focus is Indo-European Languages, so the only language in the region I have any significant knowledge of is Persian. Anyhow, there's no need to discuss this anywhere else. I think we're in agreement here. If however you wish to continue feel free to message me.

  • @LordClaremorris

    I find this interesting,

    Is Hittite Indo-European?

  • @TheHKY09 It is indeed. But it's quite strange compared to other Indo-European Languages. I don't know a whole lot about it. Some linguists have suggested it's a sister language of Indo-European, rather than a descendant. But I'm not knowledgable enough to give my own opinion on that.

  • @TheHKY09 you are hella dumb! Go get educated you piece of shit! Egyptian language clusters with other Hamitic-Semitic languages which are classified as Afroasiatic dumbass! Sumerian is by itself Semitic! Egyptian language is no were near arabic, punic, aramaic, or akkadian rofl!! Amharic is an ethiopain language meaning east africa, who egyptains established trade with in 3500 BC. Nubian are egyptains closet relatives. Egyptians came form the south of africa not the other way around! Learn bitch!

  • @LordClaremorris Egypt and Sumerian language is similiar because there civilization traded in the past which means language as well. However egyptian language is Afroasiatic and sumerian today would be Semitic.

  • @aznien9 Mutual trading of terms does not alter the classification of a language. English is Germanic even though it has borrowed a lot of terms from Latin and Greek. Sumerian doesn't exist anymore, and it was not Semitic. As Semitic is in fact related to Afro-Asiatic, being a sub-branch of the latter. Sumerian is not related to any language as far as we know. It was not anything like Akkadian which we know because we've seen both languages side by side.

  • @TheHKY09 I will honestly admit that I did not know that.

  • RamASSES with his Pimp Cane.

  • why is he speaking in Arabic?

  • Wow. The way he speaks it is so awesome. This is what he really said. Hello. It is such a pleasure to have you in my presence right now.

  • if it was in egyptian arabic, it would have been more reasnable.

  • @ahmedzs1 He's speaking الفصحى with an Egyptian accent. Notice how he drops that Egyptian ج!

  • @SydneyZatha Egyptian varity is different than Egyptian Accent in MSA, like indian language is different that Indain Accent in English.

  • @ahmedzs1 Herp derp.

  • Can anyone translate?

  • @CrocoDuck420 he said : hi am ramsees the god i am a true legend for egypt the father of all nations i dont know did they made him so EGO hes not like that at all

  • @bravey1995 He IS not anymore lol

Egyptian Pharaohs believed they were Gods, any meeting with foreigners they would be sure to play up the fact that he is great, godlike, powerful

  • Ramesses II was black not Arab. WTH is this shit. People need to start using there brains Egypt wasnt full Arabs during ancient times. Just because we currently see a lot bullshit in world doesnt mean it was always like that. This game didn't even mention the Native Americans I mean damn they had a whole continent to themselves before the Europeans came and fucked that up.

  • @Jamez8888 If you hate Europeans so much why do you live in a country founded by Europeans? I say this not because of racist reasons but go back to Africa for a few days and se how you like it there compared to the countries "Europeans fucked up". I am non-Muslim Iranian but you don't see me whining about how the Arabs and Islam ruined everything, that's history, let it go

  • @MrDiem2 I dont hate them , I just hate their ego. My dad been to Africa and he told me whats it is like in Egypt. Africa is beautiful. They dont show the good things about Africa on TV their are actually very wealthy blacks in Africa. But all we see are poor Africans on TV. Egypt wasnt even the original name of the country thats just a European term it was originally called the black land they changed it when the Arabs invaded.

  • @Jamez8888 Your a fucking dumbass. Egypt was ruled and unified by africans, so get your shit straight douchebag! Im indian and i know this! Africa is a very divers contient and so are its people. Egyptian language is Afroasiatic meaning that the people were africans who spoke and african semitic tongue! Egyptians are africans and they show that on plenty of there murals! stop trying to nordize africa just so you can feel better about yourself bitch! White science is a load crap and bullshit!

  • @MrDiem2 The reason why its so hard for Europeans and Arabs who Believe that country was once ruled by blacks is because to say that you will have to say that blacks are intelligent and not savage beast that needs to be tam. Read books dont get your information from TV. Go travel the world and ask real Native Egyptians. This topic is bogus just like when Europeans discovered Amercia when in fact there were people called Native Americans who was here before Whites and Blacks.

  • the first time i played the demo i played with him and julious ceasor came to me and said i was petetic i was like wtf?

  • For all the people saying how much Ramesses sounds Arabic to them: you do realise that ancient Egyptian language and Arabic languages are related, don't you? They are both Semitic languages.

  • @vonVince He is speaking Arabic in this game, which is incorrect, they may be related, but so is Farsi and English, do they sound similar to you?

  • @MrDiem2 You don't get it. I know he speaks Arabic, but Egyptian language and Arabic were very similar sounding inpronunciation, just as Hebrew and Arabic are. That's why Arabic was used.

  • I like this guy,he always gives me free access in his land

  • Lol wow they have him as lilly white? smdh

  • Hmm... Did the old egyptians speak arabic ? Nope ! But, ok, it was also a semite language, so it probably sounded similar.

  • Hmm Ramsses was white, I did not know that xD, I'm not racist btw, just something I noted!

  • @Jaahaah That's because the Egyptians weren't Arabs. They were lighter skinned. Not Caucasian white, but whiter. In fact, it's more racist to say that Egyptians are like Arabs.

  • @inamerica55585 Technically, Arabs count as "white" people, they belong in the Caucasian race, but I get your point, all this black-civilization bullshit about ancient Egypt is just nonsense, the Romans described them as only a wee-bit darker than themselves, what's next, people going to claim the Romans were black as well?

  • @Jaahaah Well, the Romans, as far as we know, were of a more olive complexion, but that's not really a racial thing. They were white.

  • @inamerica55585 They were mediterannean, like south europeans today, some non-arab north africans and middle easterns, kurds and assyrians, often called "the greatest race in history" becuase the createt the most important and succesfull empires in the world, don't listen to all this teutonic superiority bullcrap, italians, spaniards, greeks, kurds (again non-arab, their are so many arabs in the middle east now) and so an are just as white as germans or scandinavians

  • @inamerica55585 no they were as black my god damn shoe. your a fucking idiot if you think they had light skin

  • @lilHippo You ever seen an Egyptian? Have you ever been to Egypt? What do you know about what Egyptians look like? You probably saw Prince of Egypt or something.

  • @lilHippo DNA tests prove that modern egyptians are 87% genetically identical with their ancient counterparts. Basically meaning that modern egyptians look much the same as ancient egyptians. They are a brown skinned Semitic people, and always have been. We we're never black

stop trying to steal our history just because you have none

  • @Ironzealot7531 yeah listen to the stuff they want you to hear. the real egyptians are dark skin. the ones who are mixed are lighter. Egypt is on the coast of africa dont let people con you and people say cleopatra was light skin wtf is with that.

  • @lilHippo yeah, we're dark skinned, but we're not black and we never were. We're an asiatic people who've mixed with black people over the centuries. So we basically look like dark skinned arabs, and that's the way we've always looked as confirmed by DNA.

Rameses II, perhaps the most farmous pharaoh of all time, had red hair. His mummy still has some of that hair. The only black people in egypt are from nubia(modern say Sudan). Stop with the lies already

  • @lilHippo Cleopatra was of Greek descent, being the descendent of one of the generals of Alexander the Great, Ptolemy I Soter

  • @IbnJerjer any proof? NO shes from egypt not of greek decsent. when it comes to someone with darkskin people wont let them have anything. people just make shit up. no shes not 100% black shes also greek. you people believe anything you hear or read.

  • @lilHippo When Alexander the Great died, his generals divided up his territories between themselves. Egypt, which Alexander had conquered away from the Persians, came under the control of Ptolemy I Soter (who was Greek). Cleopatra, as a direct descendent of Ptolemy I and his children, was Greek and a little Thracian.

  • @IbnJerjer yeah did you also get that info from wikipedia

  • @lilHippo That's because you darkies have nothing worth taking... Name me one successful civilization (country) today were blacks are the majority, you can't can you, if you can't even build a proper civilization today what chance did you have 3000-4000 years ago? All you blacks do is leech on white civilizations until you bring them down to the point of devastation, it's no wonder that the first pharaoh of Egypt was white and the last was black, and the same thing is happening to the states

  • @Jaahaah

    Thats racist man...

I can think of a few partly succesful countrys.

And FWI, the africans wouldnt be STILL DEVOLOPING if you racist whites didnt take the smartest and wisest of the african tribes...

  • @TheHKY09 Welcome to youtube man... And besides, there are NO countries in the world today were the majority of the population are black worth living in. Even in Africa the most developed and best countries to live in are mostly non-black nations like Libya or Tunisia (well maybe not anymore), South Africa went to hell as soon as they abandoned apartheid and the fact that this game only has one primarly black Civ just goes to show that black people are not the greatest when it comes to empires..

  • @MrDiem2

if you're talking about egypt, they were actually partly of mediterranean blood, which i assume is where they're success came from.

  • @fluffyzhangfei That really doesn't matter, the ancient egyptians could very well have been different from the modern egyptians, look at people living in australia for example, due to migration they are mostly white there, even though the white race originated thousands of miles from there

  • @MrDiem2 very true but the same sources that state that are also the ones that say the egyptians had mediterranean blood, there's even evidence of them commonly being called "red men" by the nubians and arabs, which is what they called what were the italians and greeks of that time.

  • @MrDiem2 Blacks onces had the greatest Empire which was in Egypt but just like all good things , it came to end when it fell to just about everybody. Now modern Egypt looks like a Arab world. Every Country in Africa was once ruled by someone black. And you right most of Africa isnt worth living in, but thats according to European standards. Not everybody wear clothes and wigs like white people everybody has there own standard of living. I know Natives Americans who wont use electricity.

  • @Jamez8888 Yes I know, Blacks conquered Egypt by the 25th Dynasty, but that was after Ramesses time, he was not black, there was a National Geographic issue a couple of years ago about this

  • @MrDiem2 you should'nt believe everything you see on The National Geographic channel they still trying to get Americans to believe the lie about September 11 2001. It just show you how corrupt our television is. Everything we watch is reviewed then released with information that keep people believing bullshit. Blacks didnt have to conquered anything in Africa because they already had it.

  • @Jamez8888 Ok first of all, Carthage was not a black civilization by any means (unless you want to lie about that to), so not all of Africa was controlled by black people, 2nd, there has been tonnes of evidence to suggest that Ancient Egypt was a melting pool of races, which is not surprising seeing how it is located just by both Asia and Africa

  • @MrDiem2 the only interracial thing about those times was the fact that sometimes kings will marry other races such as the east Indians to keep peace between the two empires it was a way to keep peace. They is evidence that you should try looking up where Ancient Egyptians describe themselves as blacks and others as whites they drew it for people like you but nobody talks about that I guess. There is a video on here where a white man try to prove this to other whites

  • @MrDiem2 Carthage is in Rome dude and yea they werent black Rome was once had the greatest Empire by all means blacks can careless about trying to steal their culture I mean their men had sex with each other on regular while Africans had 5 wife's I rather stay with 5 women lol.

  • @Jamez8888 Carthage is is modern day Tunisia... If you use that logic, the Egypt was Rome to

  • @MrDiem2 No im talking about Rome wrote about Carhrage not Egypt

  • @Jamez8888 Has noting to do with anything, Carthage was just as much an African civilization as Ancient Egypt, and they were not black, so your claim that "blacks ruled entire Africa" is wrong on two parts

  • @MrDiem2 You are correct about africa being ruled by afriacns dont let people like jamez8888 fagget tell you otherwise. Europeans have a problem with history thats not theres and will stop at nothing to claim it. This Iranian shouldnt even open his mouth about egypt, hes a third world turd whos country has been engulfed by political and religious warfare.

  • @Jamez8888 yea thats why the average modern day black person struggles with even the most basic of mathematical concepts..... clearly the descendants of great civilization builders.

  • @issareign And your point is... The average modern day black person cant even speak his native language because it was banned. On top of the fact that most black can care less because their being influenced by white propaganda. We live in a white society controlled by the wealthiest of humans. This system was not set up for everybody to get a fair shot at higher education..Did you know that when you see a black person you are looking at the mother and father of all races..

  • @Jamez8888 Yeah its funny how you say black instead of african douchebag. The egyptian language is classified as Afroasiatic language because its Hamitic and Semitic. Yeah the theory of people migrating out of africa 300,000 years ago is total bullshit right? Wrong!! Everyone came from africa there for egyptians were africans who stayed in there homeland and egypt was built by africans. Stop comparing african americans to east africans people! Africans are africans period! Separatist bitch!!

  • @issareign They dont teach that in our education because then that would cause chaos with the white mans ego...Because white people created and founded everything. Matter of fact everybody came from the white man black people just some how got bigger faster and stronger which is so odd.Never-mind the Vikings were the big shots, well were are these big strong fast whities at today?

  • He is speaking in Arabic, not Egyptian.

  • @behnamasid Becuase there is hardly anybody alive today who can speak fluent ancient egyptian, and I doubt any of those people are voice actors, it was a little stupid to make him speak arabic though, even latin would make more sense, as the egyptian population was basically a mix of white southern european, mediterranean and black people

  • @Jaahaah

The mother of all the Arabs " Hagar " and she was an Egyptian

  • @Jaahaah There are fluent Coptic speakers, which would have been much closer to what Rameses would have spoken than Arabic.

  • To think, this sonofabitch had around 99 children, dayum he gets around

  • Literal Translation: Sup bitches, I got this shit like a tight fitting jimmy hat. Let me hold some ends and ill hit you back on the first.

  • @alexthebomb542 you made me lol

  • @alexthebomb542 *Correction* Translation IN ENGLISH! Mutha F**KA, if you dont get OFf my fresh Lawn By the time I count to -... long blades up your Tuxedo wrapped a**!!!

  • This guy is such an asshole in the game

  • hes saying "My Greetings, I'm Ramsesses the god, I'm a living resemblance of Egypt, father and mother of all civilizations"

  • Lol I love how many people on Youtube think they know history.

  • @Saturos007 yeah, no kidding... I thought playing Civ games would make me smarter. I found out later that I already knew everything before I played hehe.

  • @Saturos007 History is subjective ;)

  • @Saturos007

    *Ahem* ME! *Ahem*

Im not sure if the things I know in Anc.His are literall knowledge, as you can read one of my more... Failed arguments below, whilst comparing Egypt, Sumer and Nubia.

  • @TheHKY09 Stop trying to fuck with history that doesnt belong to you lol. Talk with common sense as well! Im not sure what bias website you read that on, but try going to school and actually getting an education before sounding like a complete ignoramus. You need not put yourself out there ignorant to history and culture.

  • @aznien9

    Pfft.

There isn't much in Ancient History that we know for sure, so most of what we know is 100% guess.

An example would be the Minoan society,

Another example would be the Hittites history.

After a while of guess work, you'll come to your own conclusions on said things,

and drawing to the conclusion that the Sumerian's and Egyptian's shared words makes alot of sense, due to proximity.

Did I say that the Egyptians came from Sumeria?

Go get fucked, and while at it, learn to read.

  • @TheHKY09 Shut your mouth fag! Your the one who needs to get educated as i just schooled your ass in history! You have the nerve to talk. Get the sand out of your vagina douche! Your the one who was saying shit that didnt make any sense what so ever. What do you mean no one can be sure? The evidence is there in egypt and anthropological studies show it dipshit! GTF!!

  • @aznien9

GGF, obviously someone has had a longer period than usual.

Actually, I was about a list of words that the Sumerian's and Egyptians shared in their individual languages, but obviously you had a bit much of the sauce and ended up arsesore after spending the night with a guy named Sally.

  • @TheHKY09 Who the hell here was even discussing the Minoans or Mycenaean? When did ancient greece come up dumbass? Oh i suppose next your going to bring up another irrelevant subject, like why Greco-Buddhist sculpture was found in Afghanistan, or why does the sun shine so damn bright!? Stay on subject!!

  • Basically Roman=Roman not Roman=Italian

The romans died 2000 years ago, modern-day italians are a mixture between arabs from libya that migrated to southern italy and barbarians that invaded northern italy

  • @loverofrunescape32 Just shut up.

  • I love how no one's talking about Egypt.

  • little kids, for your information, Italy wasn't a country until 1890, and italian wasn't a language until 960. The romans didn't spoke latin with an italian accent, and they're culture wasn't modern italian. That's like saying that the native americans spoke with a modern american (US) accent 700 years ago before america was discovered

  • @loverofrunescape32

Correction: Italy wasn't a nation until 1860, and they didn't occupy Rome until 1870 when the French left to go fight the Prussians.

  • whats the point of this i know he says i just killed my child and now im going to rape you but stsly whats the point in this videp

  • so he was killed by his sister after having a baby with her and hes a great leader :/

  • @LKRTM ..... ramses the II built many great monuments after him and took over part of syria

  • @darkarmy554 yeah but his sister... his sister

  • The whole voice-acting for leaders is screwed in this game.

    Washington sounds like Clinton

Alexander talks like a modern greek and not ancient

Augustus speaks latin with an italian accent

Chinese Empress sounds like any chinese woman, not like a real empress

Elizabeth I sounds like a snobby girl, not like a real queen

Moctezuma's actor has an obvious mexican accent

    Siam's leader sounds mentally retarded

Persian leader has an obvious farsi accent

    etc

  • @loverofrunescape32

you expect too much. what do you want? an actual native from the ancient persian empire?

a snobby girl? and how does an empress sounds like?? your complaints are completely absurd.

  • @loverofrunescape32

Well, no shit. Surprise here: MONTEZUMA WAS MEXICAN. AUGUSTUS WAS ITALIAN. DARIUS WAS IRANIAN. It's not TOO difficult, now is it?

I don't know why I'm so angry about this comment (it's as dumb as any other...) but I can't bear that.

  • @loverofrunescape32 Your comment is so stupid it deserves an award.

  • @loverofrunescape32 HAHAHA Please reread what you wrote.

  • @loverofrunescape32 i cannot stop laughing at agustus speaking italian part, you just made my day

  • @loverofrunescape32 lol but wait what?

  • @loverofrunescape32 I take that as an offence, Thai (Siamese) sounded nothing wrong to native speaker

  • @MeenchawitTH No shit dumbfuck, it is supposed to sound different and that's why im arguing with all these morons. The ancient Siamese didn't speak exactly the same as the modern Thai speak now. Also I don't give a fuck if you take it as an offense or not.

  • @Iron1023 actually, if you look closely, you can see his false beard is red.

  • Ramses the 2nd had straight red hair!

  • @Iron1023

How do you know? Just wondering.

  • @RedSoxForObama Type in google images, Ramses 2 body. Then you can see the red hair on his head which was preserved by mummification.

  • this is clearly arabic in the egyptian accent. it's a little disappointing that it isn't at least in coptic (the closest thing we have to ancient egyptian other than, as others have pointed out, what we've decoded from the rosetta stone).

doesn't take anything away from the fact that it's rad having a badass like that chillin on a throne talkin to ya midgame! hahahaha

  • Actually he spoke in ancient Egyptian language but his sounds were like arabic.

Arabic language has word 'sounds' for most words....

  • @rohitvip he is speaking Classic Arabic with Egyptian accent, we eyptians dont pronounce the "J" as in Jail, we pronounce it "G" as in Goal, or Golf...

so it would be Tahiyati, ........... tagseed hay le masr... instead of the standard arabic whic is Tadjseed Hay le Mesr...

  • @Ahmedhafez...why can't they make him speak Egyptian? LOL

  • WTF... thats not egyptian... thats Arabic with Egyptian Accent.... its like putting the Sioux with an redneck accent, instead of having the real language...

  • @Ahmedhafez Yes, every leader speaks the modern language of their countries, except the romans...

  • @Herbstgespenst

Darius I speaks Aramaic (the language of the time). Augustus (as you said) speaks Latin. Songhai speaks..... I dunno, Songhai? Anyway, he speaks the correct language. I'm not sure, though, if Rama speaks modern or old Thai....

  • Are you guys serious? Have you forgotten about the Rosetta Stone? Sure we may never fully know exactly how Ancient Egyptians spoke, but the Ancient Egyptian language has been more or less fully decoded. I cannot believe how ignorant people are becoming.

  • @frostyguy1989 Also, by aid of Coptic you can reconstruct it. Or you can just use Coptic (I mean all other civs, some of them ancient like the Chinese) also speak Modern Language. Egyptian Arabic was a sad choice, but I won't make too much of a fuss about this.

  • @kalefles I'm saying this, because you can only read the consonants of Ancient Egyptian.

  • Also, Modern Egyptians are a mix between Ancient Egyptians and Arabs anyway. Still, it's a different language and the Roman leader also speaks Latin and not Italian.

Of course it would require an immense effort. Good jobs for Firaxis on finding an Nahuatl- and an Iroquois-speaker. Certainly the latter one must've been challenging.

  • @frostyguy1989 You basically answered it yourself :P We know what they were saying but we don't know how they said it... That's what everyone is talkin about :)

  • I heard ancient Egypt language was lost. Was that wrong?

  • @yusir521 It was lost because the blue eyed original eygptians were replaced by blacks and arabs.

  • he is saying:

Salutations, iam Ramses the god, the sole ruler of Egypt, the mother and father of all civilizations.

  • You know, while the arabic/ancient egypt speech conversation is interesting and all, would it be possible for someone too translate what Ramses actually SAID in the video?!

  • they made ramses a bit dark on the eye brows since he had red hair in real life. and what is with the arabic mixed syntax?

  • can egypt be scripted to enslave jerusalem?

  • idk but i see similarities in the way ramesses and harun al rashid talk

  • @waPinoyAko34 Both Arabic

  • @thearabsword1

egyptian and arab arent the same thing

  • @bigkale26 yeah i know ....

  • @bigkale26 if we werent an arab country we wouldnt have spoken arabic

  • @youssif05

this is ancient egypt, not modern egypt.

    ancient egypt is egyptian.

  • The first thing im going to say to Ramesses is "Let my people go! Or Ill rain Nuke's on your ass!"

  • @Mitya725 the answer I would give is because of Eurocentrism and Money

Egypt (Middle East) is a cash cow for Western Nations (Britain and America) so Egypt is targeted towards that market Egyptomania, the true origins and language of the Anicent Egyptians is kept on the down low secret, but the truth is coming out slowly keep complaining

  • @coolchil1 WTF?

  • Ugh... i'm disappointed. They have him speaking Egyptian Arabic instead of Ancient Egyptian. If the makers of "The Mummy" could find people to train those actors to deliver lines in Egyptian, why couldn't Firaxis?

  • @Mitya725 all i c is ppl like u complaining about this game on youtube of all places so here's an answer for u: they cant PLEASE everyone

  • @RJT0123456789 Dude, chill.... I LIKE all the other aspects of the game I've seen so far; this language thing is just a minor annoyance that they could have easily fixed, especially seeing as they did the same thing in Civ 4. They had an opportunity to accurately represent the civilization this time and they blew it, but it's easily forgivable compared to how awesome the rest of the game is.

  • @Mitya725

Then...doesn't that mean they done it right if the leaders look and speak their native language and culture?

  • @Mitya725

I mean yeah its not ANCIENT Egyptian, but just cause of one thing doesnt mean they blew the whole thing.

  • @DarkArtistKaiser They didn't blow the WHOLE thing, it's just one thing that they could've addressed many times, but they never have, which is a little bit annoying.

  • @Mitya725

Perhaps they didn't have time? You forget that making a game is hard, even more so making it fully accurate. Ancient Egyptian may have been harder for their voice actors to learn and do(Or maybe they didn't have the materials). Theres a lot of possibilities to why something is done as it is.

  • @Mitya725 it's not easily fixable but i was just messing around w u : ]

  • @Mitya725 The Mummy was a heavily budgeted film, they had the money to find people to train. This is a video game, and games like these won't spend the money on voice. Many of the gamers won't even notice let alone care.

  • Ancient Egyptian still exists as a language today but there's only three hundred speakers and it's called coptic

  • @Arcaul

coptic langauge is often used by the christian egyptian minority...but seen the way christians are treated in the country coptic in the future will probably disappear

  • He doesn't look white to me. Those facial features look rather Persian, if anything.

  • Uh... Why is he white..?

  • He could as well speak english, that he speakt arabic is just plain wrong.

  • Generalyog Quote:

“of course he couldn't spoke the ancient Egyptians language, because no1 today speak it or know how to”

A very few might be able to speak it (secretly), but it doesn’t Help that the Muslims in control of Egypt BANNED the Egyptians Ancient Language in Favor of Arabic.
