SIMPLEMENTE JANIS ES MARAVILLOSA, NUNCA HABRÁ OTRA CANTANTE QUE IMPRIMA TAL SENTIMIENTO Y VIVA LA MÚSICA COMO LO HIZO ELLA. ¡HONOR Y GLORIA A SU ARTE INMORTAL!
This was her best band. This was the hardest times of her life. (during that particular time) But this was the best album and badn she ever had. Untouchable and perfect. Snookie Flowers is an awesome sax player. Just gets to ya. Amazing sounds and of course Janis is the best. Thank you for sharing this with the world. PEACE♥
@NoRosesForMe forgive my typos hahah (in my last comment) ,,crap,,,,,but yea ,,,watchin this again after 12 long hard dreadful hours of work. Perfect. xx
The beuty is it's live, no lip syncing, no overdubs and no forgetting lyrics 'cause it's all about her and the moment. Whatever she's feeling, felt or thinks while she performs becomes the song. Support your local music sceane, go see a band.
Realized this live version doesn't have the lyrics that are on the album version nor what she sang at Woodstock: "Every day I keep trying to move forward but something is driving me back, something trying to hold onto me."
I love seeing her live but the album/studio version is excellent too.
@Tavener It brings tears to my eyes too when I hear it. I don't know why it wasn't played on the radio...maybe more people need tears brought to their eyes. It's good for people's souls to be moved.
Seeing the videos are great, thanks for the upload.
This song does something to me... I have this version on audio but I never saw the footage. It's even more moving when you can actually see her and the band getting into it.
jag blev mållös. tack ska Du ha Elin, det var så . . . ÄKTA ! i am at such a loss for words after watching this. but i must say, it was a very good time to check in. thanks again : )
I've been wanting to see the end for a long time!
For a while, someone posted up the whole performance, except for the very end of this song, then it got removed a while later! so I haven't heard this version in a long time, and may I say, this is a classic memorabilia!
a classic look back, Elin, at another one of rock's superstars that left us too early. sadly, it's a story that's been repeated too often. great upload, thnx :)
You may get this twice!! 'Guess you love rubbing in that I was born BEFORE the middle of the last century, so all these uploads still seem new to me-amazing it was over 40 years ago-great upload Elin :)
@Mrroydoncrossing haha sorry about that Bill :) I have a clip from 1949 posted as well, that is as close I've gotten so far. But one day I will find a piece of music or clip that will make you feel young as well, and no cheating with Beethoven or so :D
Janis was truly talented and special. One of the first local performers to embrace the freewheeling hippie movement that became legendary in Austin. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to see her perform here - she preceded my arrival to Austin by about 6 years. Thanks Elin for uploading this great Swedish performance. 2 thumbs up!
divina e maravilhosa, esta nao teve e nunca tera uma rival.

I love Janis Joplin.
She had more talent in her finger than all the crappy singers out there today have combined.
