I lived in New Mexico for 16 years and found that the State of NM is a poverty stricken State. Unfortunaly, crooked cops,lawyers and judges are all too common. I truely believe the government does this type of thing to help off set the financial deficit of the State. I'm glad you fought this ticket. I do not know in NM but most Parking lots in CA are deeded over to DMV/State rules, so speeding , not stopping at a stop sign or wearing a seat belt will get you a ticket.,

in this case what you stated from the ticket and what was said by the cop should have thrown the ticket out.

That's not the point though . The point is that he simply lied under outh which is a felony. The cop willing to comitt the felony in court just to get a ticket will comitt a felony any time he feels like it is more dangerous then a common crook , we don't have to pay for being crook. Same about judge.
