Flaps are great, but don't use them as a crutch. They are designed to allow a 'slower' controlled descent, but you can't land at a snails pace. Your speed is probably not fast enough on approach; judging by the video it looks very slow for a scale warbird of that size. It's only practice and understanding your plane with or without flaps on landing. Great plane and great flying. Enjoy!
A On-Board Glow Plug Driver might help. Do you still have the Baffle in the exhaust? Taking out the baffle improved the low end and made the transition from low to high throttle nice and smooth in my evolution .46 But then again, my engine is upright...
I was able to adjust the low speed yesterday and I flew it today. The motor was running very good. I had to adjust the low speed leaner than the factory limits. Most likely because the engine is up side down.
Now I have to work on slowing down the ladings. There was zero wind this morning and even with the flaps I landed heavy and fast. The nose hit the ground, no damage.
I will soon have mine ready to go for spring. I was wondering if you use expo on ailerons and/or elevator?

I have the same engine and it has the same problem even if I lean the low end. People told me to beware Evo engines.
