It is because of this that Aliran expects the Koperasi to understand fully the dire situation of the residents of Kampung Buah Pala. It is because of this that Aliran expects the Koperasi to act in a humane manner befitting its status and responsibility.
In all fairness, these areas of grave concern are legitimate and it is only just that they must be addressed seriously so that the residents fears can be laid to rest.
Considering the fact that the Kopersai had obtained the land below market price, it has benefited tremendously and stands to reap huge profits from the land that has been home to these unfortunate residents and their ancestors for nearly 200 years.

A two-storey house promised in exchange for the roof that they would be losing would seem to be a reasonable proposal but this proposal is very vague and uncertain because it lacks crucial details, e.g.:
There is no guarantee when these houses would be ready for occupation.
There is no indication on which part of the land these houses would be located.
There is no indication of the cost of these houses.
Aliran is glad that there is some kind of offer and an attempt to reach a compromise with the beleaguered residents of Kampung Buah Pala. It is good that the Koperasi and Nusmetro have finally come out with an offer in trying to reach a settlement with the residents. While it is commendable, unfortunately the offer does not go far enough to be acceptable to the residents.
Look at how the BN Govt compensated the people of Kg. LBJ (Seremban Dist). The villager were given cash money abt RM 1 million & without demolishing their houses. Some even got more than RM1mil. The point is ..... the villagers felt they have been robbed of their land. How could the state govt have sold the land to the Koperasi when the villagers had original ownership of the land under a trusteeship set up before Merdeka.
It is like selling something you didn't own.
I strongly feel that the villagers have every right to remain on land that I see as belonging to them. There has been a serious miscariage of justice at the Court of Appeal and Federal Courts.

Previous Agreement was done before, It's difficult to turn back. Better Villager accept the win win situation. Villager don't be greedy by claim a million to Gov.
Don't prolong the issues, people was bored and fed up when issue is play too long and opportunist would take advantage on that.
For sake of both parties, Settle ASAP and U can goes to normal day life.

the best solution is government buy back the land. Upgrade the land as agricultural area or tourist area.

CM G.Eng telah cuba menyelesaikan segala masalah kampung pala orang penang tetapi ada lembu - lembu dari mic tidak faham masala kampung tersebut... kerana samy dari mic tidak tahu mengenai tanah itu telah diputuskan di mahkamah rayuan

That area is so green and peaceful, why demolish it to build condominiums for the rich ? You are effectively chasing poor people out of their village to build condos for the rich. The fault is with the BN govt who sold the land to the developer(at a very cheap price) in the first place. I suspect there must have been some corrupt BN officers who did it. Lim Guan Eng is now in an impossible position of having to think of a solution acceptable to both the developer and the villagers
