Maybe it'll seem strange for you, but this song also reached USSR - my dad worked as engineer abroad in Iran in 78-80 and brough back big box of compact tapes, including this one, so this tune also reminds me own early childhood (was 7 at that time). Never knew it had South African origin though! - thanks alot kahkeshansard !

I'm brazilian. I discovered this song 10 years ago in a VHS Brazilian porn compilation from the seventies, a pout-pourri of scenes of several trash porn, and the soundtrack was a DJ mix from the time. This song is awesome. The Animals version is beatiful too, but I prefer this one.

Had an SP25 back in the 80s - played the 12" earlier tonight (on a Sherwood 9800 from Richer Sounds) - introduced my girlfriend (early 30s, Essex girl) to decent dance music - sounds even better than it used to do through better kit than I had all those years ago... :)
