@xxxxRAAAWRxxxx I went on pointe at 8 yrs old and fortunately I did fine. My only trouble now is ARTHRITIS!!!!! in my hips, knees and lower back. I guess either you're going to get it or not. My feet are fine and believe it or not I can still go up and dance on pointe and I'm 52.

how good do you have to be before you are allowed to use the point toe shoes?

I was seven years old when I first got my toe shoes. It took me about eight months to be able to go on point. Forty three years later I still dance on point and still have beautiful feet and legs. I do however have terrible arthritis through out my body!! But once I start dancing the pain subsides.

Le prove means rehearsal in Italian. It's similar to greek. Rehearsal is greek it's "prova" with the greek alphabet of course.

because the stage is so far for the audience thats why the dancers have to exaggerate the make up even in rehearsals
