just so that YOU know its more like an 80% chance, and why would your horse be special if it isnt, he was an amazing racehorse and a legendary sire. consider yourself lucky that you get the chance to carry on his legacy. besides that some of the best modern racers have him in a good part of their bloodline, ex, Curlin,Big Brown,Smarty Jones,Rags to Riches,Funny cide,Harlem Rocker,sky conqueror,eight belles <3 street sense,Afleet alex,Watchout for 2yr old southern exchange same figure&stlye as ND

Just so you all know. Unless I am mistaken, Northern Dancer is the sire or grand-sire of about 85% of north american thoroughbreds. Your horse is special if it ISN'T related in some way.

My horse is related to Northern Dancer.

Her racing name was Small Slam.

But now her name is Dutchess.

But I have her racing papers and 32 generations back and I was looking at the names and saw Northern Dancer and so my horse is related to this horse.

My horses grandfather or great grandfather was Northern Dancer, Chance (my horse) was a chuck wagon racer but then grew to big and put in the auction then was sold twice then we got him

my horses damsire was lyphard, and his father was nothern dancer... i've never bin interested in racing befor i found out my horses heritage... i never realized her breedin was so impressive! sadly she was not a very good racehorse so was sold to her old owner!

@possumteazer same as my throughbred, who also had Lyphard and therefore Northern Dancers, 2 of my horses are from his bloodlines . gives u quite a buzz really

he is the grandfather of one of the horses at my work... his name is Majesty. he is extremly slow though! lol he did race for a few years but he didnt do too well... he was rescued by Heaven Can Wait Rescue and abopted by my work! he does have that spark sometimes that he definatly inherets from Dancer!
