In 1959, a beloved barber in my hometown had surgery to remove cancer from his throat. As they were wheeling him to surgery, you could barely hear him, but in a whisper, he sang Amazing Grace. He died in Sept. 1985. The officiating minister said in the eulogy that right now, for the 1st time in 26 years, he's probably standing before God and singing Amazing Grace. He probably was. His brother, who died suddenly in 1955, most likely welcomed him.
