@chloenoire Why you need pirate bay? get_iplayer package works like a charm on Linux. TBO BBC build their iplayer on open source but they dont want to support another open source stuff like iplayer-dl get_iplayer because they are wankers.

here's what to do to download stuff from the bbc iplayer - it works for me. Download HiDownload Platinum. Launch the program and make sure that sniffer is on and then launch your browser. Go to the BBC iplayer website and start listening to your track then HiDownloader will automatically download your track. This will be saved as FLV file. Install Freez FLV to MP3 converter and drag your file, set up bitrate and frequency and press start convering. Thats it. you have mp3 on your computer. enjoy

@maliwat audacity will just record any sound being made by your pc.

you press record then press play.

you'll have to download a .dll file to save it as an mp3 format, but you can find them through the audacity site.

(this is from memory) there should be a drop down box marked "out" or something, and in the drop down box there's stuff like "microphone" and shit, just play about with them until you find the right one.
