I just have a hard time with computer generated apps and the method I use is either record a vid with my cell phone or use a digital recorder. I do have a ovilus and other assorted equipment and am not a sound editor so upload what is decent and clear for posting online. Too many don't understand enough about the logistics of EVP capture that when they try to clean it up online it has that alien white noise going on but we all here to find what works best for each of us...Thanks for posting~Lin

Ive been using the "soundcard" as my random source. Ive used the speakjet allophones with cues. Not much, except I was called an asshole one time when I was frustrated and said IS THAT ALL YOU CAN SAY GOD DAMNIT.. Sometimes Ill record live news broadcasts for 10 or so minutes. I dont get much from that. Ive now take an 850 word list and used text to speech to convert the list to an audio file. I do get some intelligent phrases, mostly it sounds like 3 or 4 people talking at once.

There is no possible way a spirit can manipulate a randomization algorithm within a computer program in order to communicate. This is stupid.

I think the EVP Maker might be a bit flawed based on the difference of frequencies VS random number generator. With a radio, the spirit can manipulate the tuning of the radio to tune out when it doesn't want to speak and then tune the radio in when the word is found. Where the EVP Maker fails a bit is that the data it's feeding out isn't tunable, it's merely a program going X place in the WAV for Y time. I find it hard to see how a spirit can tune that.

hey mike do you need a file to load unto evp maker, i always thought evp maker already had the sounds in there and you just scanned and asked questions..I didnt know you had to load an evp..Am i making any sense lol thanx!

I have used EVPmaker and have had some interesting results. I use a language that I cant speak or understand as raw material to rule out false positives...(Spanish,Etc)

Then listen for answers in English.

Hi Mike,

First off, I'd like to say that I've just started "Monkeying around" with the concepts of the Frank's box, just researching right now. Second, I'm going to be trying the evp maker experiment myself, it looks promising. If I understanding of the program is correct, that it randomly goes through the sounds, my only concern is this: Would the Infinite monkey theorem not come into play? Eventually it will generate a word :S

Hello i was wondering i have looked at some evpmaker clips and i was curious the from segments how high or low is a good setting?

I think after seeing some clips that is a main key to getting great results have u figured that out yet?

Try 75 to 200. That way the sounds arent to short and arent to long.

Mike, I have a question about this. Are you supposed to be able to hear responses (if any) while you're using this software? I've downloaded it, but I'm not sure if you're supposed to hear responses (like you do with a ghost box)...

I would think that anything that you recorded you should be able to hear real time. That is if the theory is correct.

Hmmm.... Well that is really interesting. If I can figure out how to stop the echo and feedback from occurring while recording, I think this software could prove to be quite an interesting piece of "equipment" for future investigations. Thanks, Mike. :)

that was a very interesting theory, however I find with EVP that the human brain and create words out of nothing as we are trying to make trhe noises sound rational, I.E. the creaking of a door sounding like hello!

Yea. The only true way to capture EVP is by using only a recording device without any background noise as a catalyst. I dont know that the ghost boxes or software like this will ever yield any true evidence. Its so easy to mistake sounds for voices and I see this presented as evidence all to many times here on the internet. There are so many variables to these evperiments, thats why I could not present it as evidence.

Did you make your own phonetics? your file sounds different than mine.

Also, I think the one way we are to begin lending credibility to the subjective ITC is to ask more control questions "name?" "president?" "date?"... if we could standardize a control question base this would help determine intelligent interaction vs. random response.

good stuff, Ive had EVP maker installed for some time now but still havent fully tested it yet myself. In theory, it does work on some of the same principles of the ghost box so I see no reason why EVP captures arent possible.

You have inspired me to try this method again lol, and I look forward to see if you get any results.
