PC is always going to be more poerful as it can be changed and upgraded more than a PS3 or Xbox. GT5 is incredible, R Factor looks brilliant, Forza is decent as well. Accept them all.

The tracks could use a lot of work but very good engine. Wish they focused on that more in the 2nd.

Why even compare GT5 to Rfactor.....The makers may call it a sim but gt5 is still just an home entertainment game. Rfactor on the other hand is a Full HARDCORE driving Simulator. Over half the teams on the F1 grid use Rfactor based simulators for the development of their cars!

200/300 of 1000 are actually more cars that you can find in nfs or forza series, so where s the problem, aniway rfactor is a real simulator, GT5 is not, even if it have pretty nice physix compared to the others console games like nfs shift or forza

@DarkS3phiroth17 I say GT5 is a nice starting point for people that want to get interested in sim racing, or just for the casual sim racer. My computer isnt good enough to handle rFactor well atm... so, I stick to GT5 for now. I need to get a better wheel though... maybe a DFGT...

@Hasseta do a google search for "GTR 3 simbin". I've only seen one pic that they have released so far, but if it the final graphics are even as good as the image they released... wow. It will look better than gran turismo 5 on a good PC. The image shows all the great new effects a modern graphics engine can provide, IE: Full realtime soft shadowing, ambient occlusion, etc.. So far they have only officially announced they are working on it. I will definitely be picking it up when its released.

@chrisgarnettFAN2 Doesn't matter if gt5 is out yet or not, it was stated right from the creators lips that not all cars will have cockpits, and they don't want to sacrifice "gameplay" with too much realism. Gran turismo is a console "GAME" with sim elements, not a total sim like GTR-2, RBR, iRacing, or RFactor. GT5 won't have full racing rules with flags either, and no serious mechanical damage, sadly. Its just not intended to be a full on Simulation like the ones I just named.

@girlsdrinkfeck but how can you know, GT5 isn't released yet. And talking of GT5 Prologue, I wouldn't say it's shit, it has actually pretty good physics (switch off TC, ABS, etc. then you can feel it) and the only minus is the fact cars are unbreakable, which is not going to be the case in the final GT5. I really like playing rFactor (as i'ts demanding) but I'm also waiting for GT5 on ps3 (it's a class of its own).

@girlsdrinkfeck there have been barely any console racing sims only gt5 and thts the prologue not the real thing. all gr8 racing games havent been perfect from the strt thts y gt5 released a prologue so they had a chance 2 get everything perfect. gt5 is meant 2 b the official console sim so its taking a long time 2 get it perfect so it can match up wit rfactor and iracing. wen gt5 comes if u dont lik it dont play it stik wit rfactor thts all

Another racing sim that looks really realistic is RBR. Look for "Richard Burns Rally HDR Effect by d3d Hook" video. With many add-ons RBR is awesome!!!  Probably the best rally sim so far.
