You don't have to Doxbox you can download DXX-Rebirth which looks alot better then on Doxbox

if you push esc you will directly go to the play part

than you skip all that bullshit.

but i have a question i play it also with dos box but my speed is way to fast

if i play alt F12 at the same time ( you can slower the game) nothing happands

maybe my pc is to fast but if i run other dos games its normal speed do you know what i can do about that?

DOSBox And CD Audio Don't Mix Unless It Is In The DOS Game CD. Anyways If You Need A Download Link To Carmageddon (The Full PC Game On Iso) Go To Abandonware Lost Treasures. (It Doesn't Mean That Every Game Is In French If The Site Is!) And A Hint To Get It Working Is To Copy All The Files From The Iso, Create The Folder, GAMES, And Create The Folder Carma Inside It. Then Install It There With DOSBox (Windows 95 And 98 Users do not need dosbox) But Keep Reinstalling It On DOSBox After You X out

You may want to try the D1X-Rebirth port. It's a port of the Descent 1 game engine to the OpenGL engine. It runs much nicer and supports very high resolutions. You might want to try it out.

yup i can play descent 1 and 2, doom 1 and 2 and the hexen/heretic games using 'dosbox' on vista, but it wont play 'stonekeep' another game by interplay. btw, when i download the descent 3 demo it refuses to work, wont even copy the files in the instal shield thingy, just crashes :S any nfo/help plz m8? u got d3 working on vista?

the game speed was super fast on the dos box but it works! try d2x xl!! much better-runs on all systems.

Again: You don't need DosBOX to play Descent 1 on Vista. Install Descent 1+2, download D2X-XL (and by all means follow it's installation instructions), and you can play Descent 1 on Vista natively. D2X-XL supports full Descent 1 gameplay provided you have also installed Descent 2. If you don't like D2X-XL's extra features, turn them all off with the command line switch -pureD2. If you don't have Descent 2, you can e.g. get it from Good Old Games (-> Google) for a few bucks.

It only needs the CD for the music audio...Being unable to find the disk is a problem with newer operating systems.

Great video, really awesome, been trying to fix this game on vista for a while now, failed to do it with dosbox before i saw this. anyway, it works perfectly, except that my mouse steering is really slow. any ideas on how to fix that? Oh, and is there any way to get full screen?

of course it works on DOSBox! But try descent 2 without dosbox on xp and it goes about 5x speed

@xgcwardog If you go left instead of right where that first enemy was, down the hatch, there is a double secret down the hallway on the back left wall. And then the top panel behind that secret is another secret for a lazer powerup.

I'm running Vista too. The only way you can run Windows 95 games on Vista is by using a compatibility mode.
