i like your riding style very much. very smooth and effective, still very fast. I try to ride like that myself :-) Nice Video, was trailriding with my buddy only yesterday, first ride for me on my brandnew 530. Already love it. My buddy now rides my old Beta 525, also for the first time yesterday. Difference is not as big as i would have expected, yet noticable. best thing about the 530 are the brakes and the compact feeling i have about it. have fun, take care, keep those vids coming!!!

Also, I know the guy on the WR probably wasn't as good as the guy on the EXC, but I also think his tyres weren't as good, just looking at places the yammy started struggling for grip where the KTM marched through. Even allowing for more momentum due to better riding technique, I think there were a few spots there that the WR definitely was suffering.

@bandguy360 Its just like any modern day thumper.oil+filter changers.i purchased a ktm 530 back in 08 ,its been very reliable ,i have opened it up with jetting and a power pipe. as they are restricted off the show room floor at 34 rwhp.for ADR in most COUNTRYS.the jetting so lean it may damage the engine.mines been dyno at over 54 rwhp just did a topend inspection at 125 hours 6000klm and was no sign of wear. piston looked new still . never had a problem with this bike engine is bullet proof.

Also, im 6,1 180 pounds but can handle a lot of weight on a bike (im a body builder/lift weights) so streingth isnt an issue when it comes toit, but is it balanced out well so turns and getting air isnt uncomfortable? I know riding is a fairly basic things but i really like this bike a lot and am very curious. Also, is it reliable? have you or anyone you know with ktm bikes had any problems with them? and how do the lights work in he night? are the bright enough?

Couple questions from a very experiences trail rider like you about the 530: Suspension wise, how would you rate it? Could you possibly relate it to other kawasaki bikes by similarities?

Im a huge dirt biker (like you seem to be) and am now seriously considering this bike for on off road riding because i need to go on the street a lot where i live to get to other trails. Im a speed demon and torgue is important to me as well, does this have six or five speeds? and how quick it is?

@dgenerationx199tp I probably won't put one on my next bike, it doesn't help that much IMO. It has to be turned down a lot so that you can turn the bars quickly at slow speeds and then it's not as effective. For desert riding it's probably great. I do like the 1" rise in bar height it gave me.

You say your 6'3, Do you have any trouble standing up while riding?

@MadMike2288 It's probably not as easy as it is for someone who is 5'8" but it's not too bad. I since have added a damper that raises the bars about 1" and that helps. The rest is just gripping the bike with your legs and leaning forward and back so you don't have to hold on so hard with your hands.

@22HW22 Around 100 MPH...it might creep up more but it takes awhile. This is with me being 6'3" and 240 lb. so I'm heavy and create a lot of drag. Perhaps with a small, light rider it could do better.

Not really sure to be honest. Quicker than you might think considering it only has 50 HP...I would guess 6 or 7 seconds but I don't know.

Thanks. This is in Maine, on some private property. Ride here because it is close to the house for a quick ride...there are hundreds of thousands of acres to ride on here though that are uninhabited. Usually forestry areas that are owned by paper companies. They don't bother you too much, so you can basically go where you want.
