  • Whenever I see Ken, I ask him to perform this - it, and he, are great. And the song says more about what we are, and are not, than people realize. Wide chasm between promise and execution in our pretense about humanity and liberty.

  • From the hell that was Ireland in "48 *1848) a poignant song>

  • Ken, Good on you for singing this song, Please credit Robert Emmet Dunlap from South Boston, Massachusetts as the writer when you sing it again

  • :D my name's mick ryan

  • I lived in Fredericksburg. To walk the Stone Wall on Sunken Road and understand what actually transpired there is breath-taking. Burnside deserved to lose his command for sending his men against that wall...and for allowing them to do what they did to the town of Fredericksburg.

    God bless Robert E. Lee.

  • love his voice.he's inspired me to sing and i'm an ancient crooner...check out 'gypwin'

  • This is brilliant! I fell in love with the song when I heard it done by Tim O'Brien, and thought it was written by him. O'Malley does it proud, just by himself on acoustic. A great performance, of a very movng song. Thank you!

  • he does not kill a bug, he hits his tune pedal to turn on the guitar amp. He is a walking history lesson, you would love this guy and walk out with a real education on irish history..check out his website and thanks for visiting...

  • I'm not a musician. Can you tell me what "killing a bug" means?

  • @agates11 Ken really rocks.

  • Okay,1.49 mins! Into the vid, this guy! Actually starts hitting the strings and then I was like FINALLY and then,1.51 mins he kills a bug!and then its history!

  • Very nice guitar arrangement! I love this song, and you do it great justice. :)

  • Garryowen is a place not a person (as any rugby player will tell you)

  • Not to argue, but I don't see any references on this vid to Garryowen being a person. It's an old Irish song, which became a favorite of the American cavalry via Custer. According to what I can find, the place is named after the song, not the other way round.

  • BRAVO,,,,BRAVO,,,,,may you be in heaven one hour before the devil knows you're dead!
