I heard "Drink Pils" Maynard was always known to be sloshed and since there was a debate, I listened carefully with some good studio monitors and my vote is he says "Drink Pils" because a light lager like those that are most popular in the US (Budweiser, Coors, etc) are Pilner lagers. We could call it either Pilner, Lager, Beer, Brew or Pils. I have been to countries where they call light beer Pils because it's short for Pilsner. Now as far as Maynard saying "Take" he definately says "Drink".

Pils, the beer, definitely. Better than any illegal cam recordings from a movie theater. Awesome Maynard was one of his kind.

Maynard was way too nice to say what most people of his stature would have said. Just think of how Buddy would have replied to that schmuck. Instead, Maynard made everyone laugh. I still miss him.

Maynard is definitely NOT saying "taking pills"...he is saying "drinking PILS", as in Pilsner(beer)...just as a previous person noted

If this is Dutch, he's probably saying:"drink pils"(Pils= the Dutch word for Beer)He's holding a beerbottle. So don't start taking pills thinking you'll be able to play like Maynard: drink Pils instead.
